Wait, I thought this special operation was to denazify Ukraine, why would Russia want to conquer it?

  2. #28522
Drunkvedev is not to be taken seriously. He threatens everyone all the time. It's just hot air. Seriously, stop listening to russians.

  3. #28523
Medvedev wants to die, he's attempted suicide multiple times before, but is kept alive likely because if he goes Putin will off his family. Which is why he's drunk more so than Yeltsin was when he was alive.

The Russians are obviously scary enough to denazifi, conquer and destroy Ukraine all at the same time with their utterly terrifying human wave tactics that were made useless a couple months into -checks notes- WW1.

even I am getting pretty tired of it at this point, and I'm sure it sounds stale or tiresome to you people as well.

Russia keeps threatening to destroy something, but they don't ever go through with these threats. It's almost all bluster now.

  6. #28526
It's almost like people have been pointing that out since before the war began.

    Oh, right, they have been.

Hey, here's a great chance to apply what I taught you earlier vis-a-vis Russia's claims and whether they're lying or not.

    Ask yourself:

Could Russia be lying with the headline you just posted?

If the answer is yes... maybe reconsider posting it, because Russian lies aren't worth the paper they're written on, and discussing them is pointless because they're... empty, hollow lies.

So Kerch Bridge parts factory was destroyed in fire.

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-ne...crimea-bridge/

This could mean that Ukraine forces may push the Crimera.
    Don't sweat the details!!!

that is a bold flex. He's absolutely confident he will come out on top from this war.
After all this time you still don't get it, do you? Ukraine is actually facing an existential threat, if he doesn't come out on top there will be no Ukraine anymore.

I really hope you are trolling, because if the thoughts you express here are genuine you should stop posting and get professional help from a psychiatrist.

"I invite you to our resources if we win. If we don't, Putin gets it all. How much profit are you willing to walk away from?"

NOW the lobbying begins. Overpaid suits in DC, now sporting 6 foot erections with a cheeseburger on the tip, will be saying "Shouldn't we send everyone to the Ukraine to help them out?"

That this is driven by Russian ideas of fascism and imperialism has been obvious for quite a while now. E.g see how Putin compared himself to Peter the Great last summer, the first tsar of imperial Russia.

Ukraine agents or "Russian resistence" burned down a Russia key factory, alternative the factory did get a loots of money to make replacement parts to the Kerch Bridge, but embezzled the money and burned the factory to cover up the corruption.

Do not know what is most embarrassing for Russia.

    No he wont.
Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

You're only just now realizing this?

I was somewhat concerned the first week, but when the numbers of Russian casualties and losses came back, I lost most of my concern and after that point every threat was an empty threat.

Til the next threat comes out then you start the same song and dance again.

The thing about reconstruction, unlike war, is that it's not a wasted cost.

Post war reconstruction is a massive long term wealth generator, assuming it's done right and financed properly. It implies brand new infrastructure (in the sense of new standards, new technologies, lower maintenance costs), new skill acquisition, etc.

The concept of "nation building" isn't necessarily a faulty one, it was just poorly implemented in places like Iraq and Afghanistan because these places lacked a functioning and competent government and bureaucracy, a civil society or a stable political climate that are prerequisites of success.

Ukraine has these things. So while for a decade or so it will still be laying the post war reconstruction grounds, all the growth derived from it afterwards will be just pure growth. I cannot think of a single reason why an EU-US Marshall plan for Ukraine wouldn't be a wild success along the lines of German reconstruction.
