Russia's Duma abolishes the age limit for contract soldiers in the armed forces, allowing men over 40 (and under 18) to now serve
Sending a bunch of 14 year olds and 70 year olds isn't going to solve the manpower problems lads.
I think you're mistaken about the lower age limit, all the news outlets I see are only mentioning the upper age limit. It wouldn't make sense either to scrap the lower age limit as the scrapping of the upper limit is specifically for:
Of course, russia lying would not be surprising. For the use of high-precision weapons, the operation of weapons and military equipment, highly professional specialists are needed. Experience shows that they become such by the age of 40-45.
The rumours about the T62s do appear to be true.

These are Krushchev era tanks with a different calibre main gun to the rest of their tanks (so more load on the logistics) and require a 4 man crew as they don't have the autoloader newer tanks do. They are normally used for reservist units so it may mean reservists are being prepared to be thrown into the meatgrinder now too.

Russia is trying to use its blocking of food exports as blackmail now - they say they'll only allow it out if sanctions are lifted.
Ukrainian presidential spokesman says Russian troops outnumber Ukrainian forces by up to 7 to 1 in areas of Donbas now
seems like it will get very bad in the donbas
Ukrainian officials have announced the intent to take Donbas *and* Crimea by the end of 2022.

Hypothetically, if they achieve their goals, what happens with Russia?

Same as the "starvation" can be repurposed by propaganda as another way to blame the west and (especially) Ukraine for any problems. In the 30s during food shortages USSR literally starved out millions of Ukraininans to the cheers of their populace.
I find it hard to hate the "typical russian" for it tho, propaganda on this level is fucking twisted. If you lived in a closed environment for your whole life, hearing on repeat that a country far away has no culture, no history, and is ran by terrorists who hate you, it would be pretty hard to convince you otherwise with a few internet articles. Especially when your country is actually ran by militant mob that yearns for the time where the leader could start killing off thousands of his friends just because he had a bad dream.
I'm not talking about propaganda or blaming anyone. I'm talking about how they have the option to fix the food shortage problem but lack the will.
When Corvus said
I was talking about how, with over a billion mouths to feed, the problem would be a starving populace. You can fix that problem easily by repurposing the "starving populace" into "viable food source". It's not pretty. It's not fun to think about. And I'm sure everyone there would wring the hands and say they can't do that. Until the moment they do.

Even the most "closed environment" gets shit from the outside unless they have no internet and totally closed borders. Parents and possibly grandparents, were told day in and day out via a closed environment who, as a country, to love and hate. In the US? Love nebulous things like freedom and liberty. Hate communism. Shit still lingers like a dingleberry to this day.
Russia is using its food blockade as ransom to lift the sanctions
https://www.euractiv.com/section/glo...-of-sanctions/
cmon doesn't this warrant an actual response from Biden?
EDIT: okay he responded in the worst possible way, by contemplating to loosen up on Belarus sanctions to avoid a military confrontation with Russia. FUCK THAT'S COWARDLY.
"President Joe Biden’s administration has contemplated the lifting of sanctions on Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko’s regime in a bid to secure the export of Ukrainian grain without risking the maritime confrontation with Russia that some other allies deem necessary to avert a horrific famine."

"the maritime confrontation with Russia that some other allies deem necessary to avert a horrific famine."
necessary or no? If Biden cowtows to terrorist demands, he makes himself and the US look weak here. They're holding food exports now as ransom. That should be a declaration of war against more than Ukraine, no?

Ah, now I get it. Well, it's a hard sell, but if its for the Russkiy Mir, nothing is impossible. You know, take a young Russian boy and send him to front, when he dies convert him to canned pate and send back to family so they don't starve. Mother Russia is proud of its populaces self sufficiency.
Ukrainian secret service has "confirmed" that Putin has cancer, take that as you will.
Here is to hoping, part of me wonders how well the Republican party can fair in the future without them helping them.
I mean they were caught funneling like 50 million to them from the NRA and been pushing their propaganda for them. Without that, will their gerrymandering and voter disenfranchisement be enough against the voters.
Since we can't call out Trolls and Bad Faith posters and the Ignore function doesn't actually ignore it. Add
"mmo-champion.com##li.postbitignored"
to your ublock or adblock filter to actually ignore ignored posters. Now just need a way to ignore responses to them as well.
