Following the events of the Shadowlands, we return home. Wrathion comes to gather us for an urgent expedition, for the source that is causing chaos in the elemental and arcane forces on Azeroth. We sail off into a storm towards the Dragon Isles. During the trip we are attacked by wild dragons, while also having to save dragons trying to protect us on our voyage. We crash land on the Dragon Isles, and quickly discover forces of nature here are array with this being the epicenter. The island is inhabited by pirates, poachers trying to enslave dragons, new dragon factions like water dragons, and a large cultist group trying to create a new Galakrond. Nozdormu is missing. Tyrande tries to create a new home for the Night Elves. Arcane and elemental magic has become unstable and erratic across Azeroth. Thrall takes up shamanism again. We have to stop the cultist in their attempt to create a new Galakrond. Then gather ancient relics from the pure bloodline dragons, which will tell us what's going on with the magic in the world. This will lead us to Nozdormu, now Murozond. Nozdormu has been manipulating the timeline to try and contain the wild forces of Azeroth, but in doing so went insane by the corrupted timelines.
