Almost anywhere you go the game feels emptier then it ever used to be

There used to be a time when you had people dueling infront of capitals (Stormwind, Orgrimmar) you had people hanging/dueling in Goldshire. Etc etc.
You know it is sad to see where ever you go, the people that used to hang at some spots are no longer there.

One of the biggest issues for me today. Logging in to see a wasteland of areas that used to be crowded not even too long ago.

Dueling infront of capitals are gone due WM. Hang spots are slowly becoming more and more seperated or totally gone from the game.

I think Blizzard fails to understand that is big chunk for many players to log in, yet they focus more and more on streamlined content and just the usual grind and raids.

10.0 will need to change this issue if they want people have that attachment again to the game.

Even today i log in, at 13:00 and see'ing a ghost town Goldshire (yeah there are like 30 people there, but for A RP realm its very LOW) and blaming the reason of it's still early never used to be a thing in WOW. Or blaming that people are spread out, like people were always spread out in any expansion.

I could play WoW at 3AM and i still would feel like the game was sorta crowded for the time of day.

We just can't ignore this issue and if this won't change i doubt many even has that feel to return. What is point to return to a game where you feel ur the only one around?

I suspect they aren't asking themselves how to get people back, they're asking themselves how to reduce expenses to compensate for those who have left. That is how you deal with a cash cow in its declining years.

And how often does this 200 event happen nowadays compared to the daily stuff a few years ago? Also what realm u from if i may ask?
I haven't seen SW duelers since introduction of WM on sadly. Nobody duels anymore :/

Dueling in front of SW doesn't give you honor, AP, gold (usually), ilvl, or mounts to collect

what's the insentive to do that?
There's tons of content in the game, but players choose to not do it, because the playerbase is focused on grinding player power all the time, each minute not spend grinding some resource is a minute wasted. That's how the game is setup and that's how the playerbase likes it.
Noone's stopping you from dueling in front of SW, it's just that noone wants to, because there is too much else to grind.

Let me repeat my self, the game feels MORE ALIVE then it did 6 months ago, but in concerns of the usual health of the game, it is still far below usual standards. Even for no content gaps, the game is never this empty. It is something i do hope Blizzard tries to adres. Why you think i want a Server Merge to happen?

The game is obvious not strong enough to hold over 500 servers as it did 5-17 years ago.

But to be honest, I think that CRZs and shards actually ghosted many, MANY zones. And killed servers too.

I do think this is the case in many zones too and that is why i want it gone and have server merges happening instead. Sharding was the worst thing they added to the game. Splitting up their community is not healthy in a MMORPG.
