New allied race/class speculations

This is not a leak thread, this is simply a threat to talk about allied races or just new races for wow in general.
if wow was ever to add more to their roster, what would you want and why?

My personal picks are: vrykul(because i like big Viking themed dudes), and the Mogu(because they are a real cool in the design to me)

allied races:
Vrykul(for the alliance): reason i want them is cause i can see them playing for either faction, more so the alliance due to their connections with humans. but i can also see them being a panderean situation due to them just loving battle and pleasing odyn

Mogu(neutral): i just want to see them playable because there interesting in looks, they have baddass lore, and it just seems too good to not add them. but knowing blizzard, also reason for them being neutral is just because i don't known what side they pick.

forest trolls(horde): we already have horde allies in the hinterlands just make them playable and slap a new model on them!



Classes:
Tinkerer: it just makes sense, its from Warcraft 3 and its not in wow as a playable class yet! what is taking so long blizz! i wanna pilot a mechsuit as a gnome already!

We are likely to see the Ren'dorei of the Alliance bring the Ethereals into the Alliance. Since the ominous Locus-Walker, the most iconic Ethereal character in the franchise by far, is the mentor of Alleria Windrunner and the Ren'dorei. The Ren'dorei even have a racial ability called "Ethereal Affinity", which grants them a huge discount on the Ethereal services.

Expect to see Ethereals in the Alliance.

I’m expecting Drakonids next xpac in some form if next xpac actually is dragon themed.

But outside of that I would love to see Ethereals, Jinyu/Ankoan, and Naga.

I would like to see a new race, I'm just not confident they'll be adding one at all, especially with their team shakeup from the past couple years.

Classes is in the same boat. PLEASE give us a class. But I'm keeping my expectations quite low.

This is my thinking for the entire expansion: I REALLY want it to be something special and exciting, but my expectation is honestly flatlined - NOTHING Blizzard have done in the last few years has impressed me at all, so i really dont see why this would be any different. Fingers crossed though i guess

I’m hoping for no new allied races, just standard races with no requirements other than purchasing the expansion.

That said, there really isn’t much left on the racial side of things. Ogres, Tuskarr, Arakkoa, or some made up race are possibilities I suppose.

Class wise, the final WC3 heroes outside the class lineup are Tinkers and Alchemist, so a class with those themes (technology) makes sense. Beyond that, maybe some concepts from HotS would be used. Conversely, the technology class could be the final WoW class.

Ethereals are pretty high on my list. They'd make a great neutral race, and they're already integrated into our major cities as neutral NPCs.

Just give em a spiffy update like we've seen with the Locus walker, and give em different Mask options for male/female separation.

They'd be a great connection to any future Light/Void/Cosmic expansion, and have a pretty strong connection to technology and space travel. They're one of the few genuinely 'alien' races we meet who still use a standard humanoid skeleton structure and they have a pretty strong Arabian visual style that's been rarely explored in WoW.

Funny you mention Murlocs. A random Classic WoW mod server video popped up on my feed that has playable Murlocs, and it was actually pretty interesting and refreshing seeing some quirky new races as playable characters. I typically would be against those kind of race picks, but seeing it in action actually looks pretty fun.

the legion class halls have made it kind of a deadlock for new class, the problem with wow expansions becoming irrelevant after next expansion is released and now because of legion the new class will need to have either a new class hall and artifacts created or another way to skip class halls completely

shadowlands did not even bother to increase existing race and class combination, it had nothing, no new class no new race and no new combinations either, and those are the most essential features for an expansion

A dragon class would be cool if you could pick from a lot of different dragon forms, and could remain in dragon form permanently, both in and out of combat.

As for new playable races, I desire Cryptlord Nerubians the most.

Classes? Depends on the expansion. Dragon related for dragon expansion. Tinker dealing with steampunk stuff. (They are setting up a kezan expansion with gallywix)

Like this expansion would been perfect for either dark ranger or necromancer, instead they gave us shadowlands

My guesses:

• If we are incredibly lucky we will see some of class restrictions further lifted. Something like more druid, shaman and paladin choices.
• There is probably a 50/50 chance that we get something like venthyr and the faun guys as allied races, not because it it makes even a lick of sense, just by virtue of sheer deserpation/idiocy and the faun guys being practically space-goats anyway.
• I don't expect a new race at all.
• I don't expect a new classs at all. It's simply antithetical to every single design descisions they've made in the last 5 years.

What I'd hopewish for: The aforementioned class choices and some 4th specs.

I'm personally expecting we are more likely to get new core races rather than allied races if we get anything, specifically some combo of Arakkoa, Ethereal, or Ogres. However, if we get Allied Races I feel there are two potential schools of thought. The first (extremely unlikely) would be a Shadowlands set, likely Kyrian & Venthyr. Otherwise, I could see Blizz opt to complete the Allied Race set by giving us Worgen/Forsaken style Allied Races. If we get those, I'm thinking Ankoan & Calia-style Undead would be the most likely choices.

One other route they could opt to go for here is further customizations to current races instead of a new race. This might allow for races like Gilgoblins to be added without taking an entire race slot.

As for new classes (if we get one), that will IMO largely depend on what we get for a next expansion. If we go to the Dragon Isles, Blizz may opt to bring in a dragon-based class like the Dragonsworn from the RPG. Tinkers would absolutely fit in with an expansion centered more on Azeroth, especially a revamp or something where we visit Undermine. I could also see Blizz opt to add in a handful of new specs instead, such as a Shaman tanking spec.

I'm not really interested in a new race or new class, to be perfectly honest, although I think we're overdue on the latter.

Personally, I'd rather see new race/class combos that makes sense now, such as a Night Elf Paladins, Zandalari Warlocks, Nightborne Druids, Lightforged Monk, Worgen and Goblin Monk.

Cheapest option here seems to me they'd give us shadowlands allied races, namely the night fae goat people and the necrolord almost-skeletons. Feels like they'd fit their niches the most tbh. Though I expect riots if they add those over venthyr.
