He was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer a few weeks ago. Some were optimistic that he could pull through being young, but "stage 4 x" in medical terms is pretty much a death sentence. Some of his more notable roles: Naofumi in "Rising of the Shield Hero", Ferdinand von Aegir in Fire Emblem, Josuke Higashikata in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Shinei Nouzen in "86", and Dr. Maruki in Persona 5 Royal. I think my favorite role of his was as Asmodeus, "Azz-Azz" in "Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun". Being a bit of an over-the-top comedy, it allowed him, among others, to really go ham. He's only been a known name in voice acting for a few years, but he always sounded great in everything he did. Gonna miss him.
Colon cancer is more and more common in the 20-40 age bracket, my mother had it twice, grandmother once and a 34 year old friend of the family currently has it.
