Calia's entire existence as a "Light undead" still doesn't even make sense. She should be locked away in the same dark chamber of the Warcraft universe where they left Med'an to rot.

The absolute state of Warcraft lore in 2021:
Kyrians: We need to keep chucking people into the Maw because it's our job.
Also Kyrians: Why is the Maw growing stronger despite all our efforts?
and how exactly can i care or related to her, when i didn't buy the book OR play a priest in legion? if not for random lore videos by youtube (who also gave up on wow itself it seems finally after Jailer story broke his back) i wouldn't even know who she is
for someone who supposed to play a major role, they f8cked hard how to introduce her
The beginning of wisdom is the statement 'I do not know.' The person who cannot make that statement is one who will never learn anything. And I have prided myself on my ability to learn
Thrall

bowing to the alliance
Anemo: traveler, Sucrose

I honestly don't like Blizzard's story direction, but I do think there needs to be some kind of "change" in both night elf and Forsaken societies.
The kaldorei can't be all about hiding serenely and detached in a distant and untouchable tree, the pinnacle of perfect harmony and ethereal beauty - and the Forsaken shouldn't simply be one-dimensional Frankenstein-esque villains who obey Sylvanas like mindless drones while eagerly experimenting with living prisoners for sadistic amusement. They should have greater depth and complexity, not remain as frozen staple representations of an unevolving culture, rendering both static and generic.
"You see, there is balance in all things. Wisdom etched in our very fur: Black and white. Darkness and light. When the last emperor hid our land from the rest of the world, he also preserved...our ancient enemy, the mantid. So it is with your Alliance and your Horde. They are not strong despite one another; they are strong BECAUSE of one another. You mistake your greatest strength for weakness. Do you see this?"
Forsaken players, quite frankly, should be glad of everything Blizzard has done for them. The objectively evil and scummy tyrant is gone, and they will soon be led by a morally good queen (rightful heir of Lordaeron btw) who is aided by Lillian Voss, who is very kind and generous. The Forsaken will finally go from an evil race everyone hates, to a normal race with relatively good standings with the other races. This is an objective improvement.
We Alliance players can only dream of having so much attention and love from Blizzard like Forsaken players got. But then again, would Blizzard ever be bothered to make a full CGI series for an Alliance character, like they did for the Saurfang-Sylvanas storyline?
I must admit, as an Alliance player, I envy Forsaken players. With Calia as Queen and Voss as their representative on the Council, great times of peace and unity are ahead for the Forsaken. They will no longer be led by Lich King 2.0, after all!
I think The Forsaken will go through the worse version of what Alliance players went through when they lost Varian for Anduin.
Now I actually like Anduin and Calia as characters, but how they're used at times is questionable. I think it would be better that the Forsaken abandon the lost child trope, because it's weird.
With Sylvanas it worked because it was a cult society held together by her cruelty and beauty(they have nothing so they crowd around the best of them/who they envy&adore. She's practically deified). When she breaks that spell for them, trying to give them a 'New nicer mommy' they have to train sounds and looks stupid. Because that mentality came from a dark and twisted place. They aren't teenage girls looking for the next boy group to catch their fancy
It's like trying to replace Azshara for the Naga. If she's gone, you just have to move on and redefine what it means to be a Naga for changes to make sense. Trying to half ass that while also preserving the antithesis of Calia in Forsaken identity is strange to me.

I just want to see Lordaeron rebuilt by humans.
At this point forsaken kinda need a “rebranding” (lorewise) and a whole PR Guild for them, maybe two, cause by now both Horde and Alliance probably fed up by their shenanigans and one more “slip-up-warcrime” will end up with them being rounded up and Light’ed into peaceful afterlife while Horde conveniently looks away.
I want it because Horde will hate it and they should have their stories ruined by stupid nonsense that makes absolutely no sense in the interests of faction parity. I've long given up on Alliance not being shafted or ruined or railroaded so will just take it being done out of spite to the Horde. Still never gonna top what they did to Garrosh though. Not even Sylvanas, trainwreck as that entire saga was, compares to the absolute ruining of the Horde that could've been under Garrosh. No, anyone who still stayed with the Horde after what they did to Garrosh deserves Calia leading the undead. You guys actually thought you could be bad guys openly after Sylvanas? Haha nope, denied even that. All you'll ever be is bad guys that have to pretend to be victims.
Hell you probably won't even get THAT under Calia. Time to reroll Orc I guess.
Paladin Bash has spoken.
Alleria, immediately after sucking the brain out of a troll baby's skull: "Disgusting undead..."
Everyone is someone's hitler in this game but they're not very self-aware about it. Honestly Sylvanas was the most self-aware character they had.
Night Elves: Sylvanas is our Hitler.
Everyone: Arthas is our Hitler.
Trolls: Alleria is our hitler.
Orcs: Anduin's Grandfather is our hitler.
Draenei: We're our own hitlers.
Forsaken: We're making our hitler's sister our leader for some reason.

According to the recent book main “troll scalping enthusiast” was Sylvanas. She went hunting for troll trophies like girl goes to a candy shop, and then showed them to her sisters or mum, cant even remember now.
Also, Alleria was reduced to Turalyon’s arm candy at this point, and despite being a first Void Elf she went magnitudes of edge lesser then necessary.
You're just highlighting my point about the devs' "Framing is more important than facts" approach to WoW's worldbuilding. Sylvanas has nothing on her older sisters, considering she didn't go as far as declaring war on their own homeland based on their hatred of Trolls.
The fuck you talking about?
Sylvanas declared war on all Reality and all things living, and even before that she was a war criminal and mass murderer with a record so dark some Legion demons would blush if they read through it all.
Also taking sides in racial split is miniscule crime compared to Sylvanas endless list of “accomplishments”. Some people just dont like their governments or governments that claim to be theirs, you know?
