I checked the WoW token on the auction house today and it was 330K??? The hell??? Is it that expensive on US-servers too?? This price is just ridiculous.

EU prices have always been high due to it consisting of a mishmash of poorer and richer countries.
In poor countries there is a consistent demand because the prices are effectively titled towards the richer countries (meaning the poor pay relatively much, and the rich relatively little - making the idea to buy with gold attractive to the poor).

Because EVERYONE who plays WoW right now will definitely buy Dragonflight either way, so waiting or not doesn't matter at all. Also you get a lvl60 boost with it, which is useful now.

There's no way that is a significant number of people out there who are playing 9.2.5, but may then decide to not play a new expansion launch with all new content.
