If you look at Northrend and then the Dragonflight map you'll notice Dragonflight's map has a lot more mountain areas. Mountain areas typically don't involve content and are just put in for world filler, these days it's what Blizzard does to make the map look fuller than it really is.

25% of the map looks to be mountains. I'm sure some of them we can go in, but most likely not as many as you may hope to assume.
Icecrown says hello. Most of that zone is mountains or areas that don't involve contend. like literally over 50% of that zone. Tons of unused space in NR.

Sure you're not thinking of Storm Peaks? Icecrown doesn't have much mountain, it's a horseshoe-shaped zone with a lil' high plateau in the middle (with content). There's not much mountains in the actual Icecrown zone

Indeed, most of Icecrown is unused area for a different reason (there is almost no quests in the massive zombie filled area between the first and second gates.

Yet also as humble as health and humor permit.

Furthermore, I consider that Carthage Slam must be destroyed.

"mountains or areas that don't involve content" sounds about right. Most of Icecrown is just large areas that have little to no relevance. Storm Peaks is even worse, wouldn't be surprised if less than 20% of its area is actually used for anything other than just terrain.
