Broadly speaking, that's what the new crafting system does. Low mythic ilvl (first 4 bosses) is 415, mid is 421, and last 2 are 424. Crafted gear is 418. It's a slow, yet deterministic way of getting BiS or near BiS (since not all slots for all armour types drop at 421/424). You slowly farm up the necessary crafting materials over time in a deterministic way and then commission a crafter to build you the piece. You even get to pick your preferred secondary enchants and embellishments. Originally Posted by mrgreenthump

I loathed the hit/expertise system deeply back then, and during my short stint in TBC classic those memories were refreshed.
