learn to play?
Blizzard will mail you on the character you made the report with thanking you for reporting, so if you compartmentalise your account, you can be fairly confident. I know for certain that I reported a few people who ended up getting banned for social contract stuff on the priest I leveled a month ago (they otherwise haven't been touched since Legion so I doubt I'm getting something from half a decade ago). I also know I help get many bots banned on my druid who exists to fly around and pick flowers all day.

Imagine having some of these posters in your group. Thatll make me quit the game. No need to be rude to new players
The game is old and mostly ~40 year olds experts remain. As a result if you're not top notch ready for the world first race you will be kicked.
That being said: the first days of wow in vanilla and early tbc weren't great either since it was mostly kids bullying kids like it's a school.
Can it happen ? Yeah, sure
Did it happen ? I gonna press a big X
I do almost only pugging, on a lot of character, for a lot of hours per week.
I never saw a kick for just dying in a dungeon in my hundreds of hours played in 18 years of wow.
ESO is literally the ONLY microsoft owned game currently being sold that is not on gamepass. It's an mmo with paid xpacs and a subscription model. Hmm I wonder what WoW has more in common with, every other game on gamepass or the very game mimicking it's own model.
It's not going on gamepass. Sorry to give you the bad news. ESO even has an xbox version and isn't on game pass ffs. Paid xpacs and subs are part of the model for revenue in those games you can't just simply put them on gamepass and keep everything the same. You can put what is basically a glorified trial version on gamepass like ESO has but that's about it.
If it was financially viable to fund an MMO like that and have it on gamepass then ESO would be on gamepass... like every other MS owned game is.

Then you've been wrong since Vanilla.
You only release if everyone dies, or if you're the healer and no one else can rez you.
If just you die, then you wait for a rez. THAT is what should have been drilled into you.
You slow down the entire run by releasing and I'm willing to bet you ran your mouth about it a bit first before being kicked.
ESO does not have the same brand power, not even close lol.
They will still charge for expansions but forcing people to pay for gamepass instead of a WoW sub opens up the potential for those who currently pay a WoW sub to try other games as well.
MS wants to merge bnet with gamepass and have the largest online userbase in history thus far.
We're all newbs, some are just more newbier than others.
Just a burned out hardcore raider turned casual.
I'm tired. So very tired. Can I just lay my head on your lap and fall asleep?

The best way is just to join a friendly, casual guild. Those people usually do not care about meta, minmaxing etc and you can find likeminded people to play with.
When you go full pug everything can happen. You can meet toxic people, but you can also meet people who will help you guiding you a bit.
