Blizzard killed everyone on the Horde who had any sort of animosity to the Alliance. Then they went and found Garrosh in the Shadowlands and killed him again so he can't ever return. Half the long-standing Alliance leadership retired in Dragonflight and left their position to characters who actively work with both factions.

Thrall, Baine, Jaina, Anduin...they're all buddies. The only way you could possibly get a faction conflict out of the current leadership is if you had Turalyon and Alleria, or maybe Talanji, snap and launch a sneak attack, but whichever did it would, based on MoP and BfA, have their own faction side against them.

Which means there would have to be a mass cull and replacement of leadership and sentiment on both sides in order for any actual conflict to occur. And that's not going to happen. The conflict between factions is dead.

Ah yes, the gripping tale of both sides constantly throwing aside their differences to unite against a common enemy. Great faction conflicts.

USA is one country, but you can't tell me there isn't a War Within.
There's no reason they can't bring the alliance and horde together.

There can still be conflicts, they just won't be MAJOR ALLIANCE GENERAL VS MAJOR HORDE WARCHIEF!!!!!!!! Whiiiiich has almost never happened anyway, really.
The only real shit we've got was Sylvanas burning the tree down. Every other conflict has been so watered down, or played out in a way we experience none of it.

Ah yes, including the universally panned Warcraft 3, where the former enemies first worked together, so much that it was jarring that the followup World of Warcraft had faction conflict again (recently learned that WC3 and WoW were developed alongside each other, with WoW devs not knowing much about WC3, which does explain a lot)
But your duty to Azeroth is not yet complete. More is demanded of you... a price the living cannot pay.

I mean, TWW or TLT would be the time to go for a Tinker/Artificer class given the Titans and their Great Works.
But hiding several massive features like this until alpha/beta would be one hot-ass decision.

The OP is bait and a lie but I do enjoy this thread saying they want faction conflict back. People's opinions are locked in this ~5 year long cycle where it goes faction war is so good and compelling -> zzz why always horde vs alliance -> thank god we're united to fight against a common enemy -> zzzz why is there no war in warcraft reeeee -> faction war is so good and compelling -> and on and on it goes. Vanilla -> Wrath faction war, Cata -> Legion working together, BFA -> SL faction war, DF -> Worldsoul Saga working together. We're currently in the "zzzz why is there no war in warcraft reeee" segment of the cycle except this time the faction restrictions have been relaxed on guilds and groups and there's no way they're unwinding that for something as pointless as a story.
