The proof is the comic itself. This comic tells us that I am feeling very happy, empowered and in a good mood with the new appearance of my Rogue.
If I'm feeling like this... how can appearance be horrible???
Simple: The impression we have of something visual is subjugative and this makes the object of the question (the appearance), by simple logic, a classic state of quantum suspension where it is everything and nothing at the same time and will give us several different impressions to depend on the point of view of the observer who observes it. So it will never be just a thing at an extreme subjective point.... like "horrible". And there's the proof.

"We're more of the love, blood, and rhetoric school. Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see." ― Tom Stoppard, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead
