Best film before my time; "Le Samouraï", set the template for neo-nior films decades later.
Best actor; Peter Sellers, the bulk of his best work was before my time. I can sit and watch anythikg he's in and end up liking it.

    Movie:
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
    TV:
    Looney Tunes
    Actor:
Peter Sellers. I wanted to pick an actor who died when I was young. I did watch the Pink Panther movies when I was young but my favourite performance is Dr Strangelove. Some actors I liked of the same era (ex Eastwood) are still alive today so I didn’t consider them.

Hope this doesn't go like the film class I'm teaching this semester, where I mentioned Kill Bill and my students were like "yeah, before our time" XD

    Film: The Bad Sleep Well
    TV: original Doctor Who

    Film : Bladerunner
    TV : Twin Peaks
Actor : I'd probably say De Niro just because a lot of his best work (GoodFellas, Untouchables, Raging Bull, etc) were before my time

Oh, great choice. Superb film. Along with High and Low, they're two of my favourite contemporary set Kurosawa movies.

Movie? The Exorcist. Scariest movie of all time. I would have loved to be an adult in theaters back in 1973.

Actor? I can't think of one. Most of the ones I admire were still alive at least during my youth, just much older already. I will say Alfred Hitchcock for director, though.

TV show has to be Star Trek. The storytelling still holds up today and is better than most shows we have had since the 90's. The writing and acting are just phenomenal. Even some of the practical special effects. It only looks dated when they have actors in alien suits.
