Now that the EU approved of the merger with Microsoft n Blizz, will Microsoft allow Blizzcon?
Are they for or against big conventions that cost lots of monies??

Cool looking forward to SoM 2 announcement mostly personally. Not really much on Diablo will happen nor OW2.
Unless a new PC game is announced? The "Unnanounced Survival Game".
This whole event is basically a massive press release/investor presentation and has been for multiple years at this point.
It was pretty obvious the year where their headlining announcement was a mobile game that turned out to be years out anyway.
Much as Blizzard likes to claim otherwise, Blizzcon is most definitely not for the players.
At least the fact that a Blizzcon is happening means leak season will be all the more hilarious when the usual suspects start spitballing their every delusional desire for WoW in a fictional expansion.
They'd probably be against it and see it as a regression to bring it back over the digital showcase which requires less funding and set up to execute especially with how quick they were to drop E3 and adopt the digital showcase format for the Xbox and Bethesda announcements . Plus the fact people are still easy sells on the 'VIP' rewards when delivered digitally. It also doesn't help that the last memorable in-person Blizzcon was the Overwatch 2 meme announcement and fucking Shadowlands and before that was Diablo Immortal phone gaff and Reforged bs.
i will honestly be surprised if the convention is as packed as it used to be given how blizzard is crumbling. they seemed to be turning around with wow and then everything else just started crumbling again not long after.
what blizzcon is happening again...WoW ( pun intended).
But with HotS being in its "cancelled state", and them just nuking OW into oblivion....jikes. they better have something cool to show us.
That hotel page is not even showing anything for me lol
They didn't release that one mobile game yet did they? I don't they have said anything since they announced it.
At this point do you really trust them with Starcraft 3? Gonna have 4 diffferent battle pass levels and story told in 4 small missions spread out over a year.
You forgot to mention the new race the Hugbearians.

I can see it now. Everyone gathered in the main conference hall and some dude comes on stage and starts stammering about new projects at Blizzard, restructuring, delays and etc when the room goes pitch black, strange hushed alien voices start whispering over the speakers and everyone get hyped expecting new ip announcement. A sudden firey sunburst appears in the distance on one of the screens and a familiar female voice starts monologing as she reminisces and reminds the audience about the Terran, Zerg and Protoss and the many wars they fought as well as lamenting a great sacrifice that was made to save the galaxy. One that came with an unexpected burden. The sunburst has moved closer and closer to view before revealing it's Phoenix Savior Kerrigan, to make it extra she's extremely pregnant Phoenix Savior Kerrigan. She expositions she didn't blow up Amon at the end of SC2 but absorbed him with the Xel'naga powers she had and since then for centuries has had to deal with sealing him away but her limit has been reached. She suddenly screams as she glows suddenly brighter and explodes into a detailed animation of the formation of a planet before making some vague statement about life finding a way as the words Starcraft III: Birth of a Nation are seared onscreen and the lights come back on. Some random comes out clapping and yelling "yeah" as the audience looks on, silently dumbfounded and someone pipes up with "You know Halloween was a couple days ago if you wanted to trick us."
It would fit the pattern for sure.

RTS are deader than dead, sadly. They would have made one if that genre had any legs, but it doesn't. Not anymore. MOBAs have eaten up all their audiences, so the remaining people are super hardcore, super niche fans - that's not exactly Blizzard's target demographic. They want to make broad-audience games, and that's not what RTS are anymore. I'd love more StarCraft myself, but it ain't the time.
this should be the next expansion after dragon flight announcement right?
Their survival game is first new IP since OW and has been in development for 5-6 years. Supposedly now it's an MMO survival game with raids, dungeons, sieges, building, etc, so pretty big announcement and lot to talk about. Not 100% it's going to be shown, but it's very likely.
New WOW expansion is 100%, Hearthstone expansion 100%, OW2 hero/map 100%, very likely a D4 expansion, and probably launching the Warcraft mobile game.
Maybe a new Starcraft game (haha ya right)
They used to be like 90% talking about just WOW, so there is plenty to show just from what were 100% certain will be there and a lot that we don't know.

My cynical side says this is just another cash grab to save there jobs when the Microsoft purge happens.
