TV, radio station signals, wireless, we haven't broadcasted so much as we do know, and none of those are directional, just like the first signals weren't. That is our signature.

It's more like pointing the antenas to the right spot and tunning the right frequency. The hirdrogen lines seem to be a consensual option for listening and sending signals to stars... But we haven't found absouletely nothing since SETI started to listen radio signals comming from outer space. Not even the famous WOW signal is a prove of other civilizations, has it could easely be some sort of interference

The "Wow"-Signal could also have been a reflected signal of ourself.

We humans tend to overdramatize things we observe. As like acting as if all of the universe came from a big bang only because we see all galaxy clusters getting further away from us. While it is very much possible that bang was just a white hole, unleashing all its matter at once. And probably thats quite common and not "the big bang to create everything". For some reason we humans also tend to think there was a moment in time when everything was created. Seems religion had way too much effect on our perception. While that burning bush surely was not an all powerful being.

It is no wonder we did not discover yet where the universe came from and what gravity really is. We are simply too stupid.

"Oh wait, there are galaxies older than the big bang? Oopsie, seems we have to reiterate on that theory again!"

That just means aliens could be, at some point in time, picking up those transmissions. Assuming that they are using the right technology to recieve them. Then they would have to send those same signals back, so we can receive them. Assuming they care enough. We might get a message in several thousands years saying that they really enjoyed "I love Lucy" and can we send some more recent episodes?
