Roque fault that they can't fix lmao -cheat death at 99%-

" I've looked into this issue. In order to assure that that a worse bug (which caused cheat death to not work at all) did not occur under specific timing circumstances Cheat Death will sometimes reduce damage by 99% instead of 90%. Although technically this is a bug, it is not one that we can currently fix. (Source)"

That is the dumb quote of the day, of course it can be fixed, do they know how annoying it is to see youe 2k frostbolt hit for just 10 damage, and its quoted as "sometimes" its like "all the time".

    Sort it out...

After 3 years... "WF totem buff is making WF proc of yellow hits, WTF HOTFIX NAU"

Cheat death making killing blow impossible on rogues every 1 min (on top of all other escape moves) ? Sorry guys we can't fix this yet.

Idd, its beyond a joke how long this bug has been in game, and it looks like its here to stay for quite a bit longer

Its Blizzard's way of saying, "We're sorry Vanish doesn't work, please enjoy this for now instead."

rogues are crying that they have mobility issue.

Most of the rogues now spec shadow step, and more will spec due to buged talent for arena. With shadowstep they don't lack mobility. they are fixing and showing the rogues the right spec for pvp, in this way killing 2 bunnyes in 1 shot

Re: Roque fault that they can't fix lmao -cheat death at 99%-

yeah shs got some limited mobility with no 2ximp sprints but it lucks damage
rogues must choose between mobility \ surv \ dmg when lets say fros mages or warriors got it all in 1 spec

Don't forget the fact that Imp Sprint has actually been failing as recently as 2.3.2, not sure about 2.3.3, stopped using it because it wasn't reliable anymore, kinda like Vanish!

warriors have dmg in all specs, the other two not so much. let's see, we are forced to fight in zerker stance, taking 10% more damage. we use deathwish to boost our damage, taking another 5% more damage. when we do switch to surv we have no dmg and lose what little mobility we had (intercept).

we have no mobility other than intercept, and even that doesn't remove any movement impairing effects. we have no passive/talented resist to snares/roots, only a minor health/rage regen when rooted or stunned, neither of which helps our mobility.

frost mages have blink every 13 seconds, and they can iceblock to remove movement impairing effects, but hardly any mages would waste ib for that. you want to talk about mobility and surv look at druids. vanish, sprint and shadowstep are still far better than intercept.

Im still waiting for a 3 point stealth talent or an upgraded 5 point one that is more compareable to the druids stealth talents.

Rogue gets 3 snares that warrior spams, game over kiteable till end of game.
Also do I have to remind u that on tom of intercept there's like loads of times if kited u'll get out of combat use charge and continue the punishment. Don't bullshit about warrior mobility cause it's awesome. Oh and yeah everyone can't wait to blow a nuke on warr in most cases followed by droo and give him endless amount of rage. In 5v5 that happens but if ur with a little clue u'll reflect, intervene to safety. While ROGUE will vanish and since it fails 100% of the time, die, dot>COD.

Mage well holy crap, he deals dmg even snared no? also blinkage, also iceblock if it becomes too hot, also 0% movement speed from nova >>>> any snare.

I play both classes and you're horribly wrong. Yes they are better spells, but then comes the 5 minute cooldown vs. 15 second cooldown which is where intercept reigns supreme.

Does the frostbolt/icelance double hit combo trigger this? It really does suck having spells hit for under 30 damage QQ

QFT! 15sec cooldown + stun effect vs. 2x 5min cooldowns (and vanish not working at all) + shadowstep(which needs 41 talent points in a tree lacking DPS like no other tree..)

Warriors dont have to QQ about intercept

The bug prior to 2.3.2 was that, under focus fire, Cheat Death sometimes wouldn't mitigate damage at all. When Blizzard "fixed" the talent, the pendulum swung the other way and the occasional 99% reduction was an unintended byproduct. Apparently, Blizzard devs can't seem to fix it at this time without restoring its pre-2.3.2 incarnation, which would be a waste of 3 points for a talent that doesn't function 50% of time regardless of how it was supposed to have been coded.

The point is that by leaving Cheat Death the way it is, the Devs have surmised that, at this time, the 99% reduction bug, being a passive flaw beyond a rogue's control, is the lesser evil over restoring Cheat Death to its old form and allowing teams to exploit the flaws with focus fire to do unimpeded maximum damage regardless of Cheat Death proccing.

Probably the reason they can't fix Vanish, now, if they made vanish trigger TWO Vanishes, they could probably make it work right...

I'd hardly call a 100% chance to reduce damage taken by 99% occasional

This isnt a small bug, this is a very major bug which has turned the tide in Arena games, which is based on rating...if you lose a game because a rogue managed to survive when he shouldnt have done, you lose points

So.. I cannont count the matches I lost because of the vanish bug. It's a decent amount of matches where I didn't survive when I should have..
