I have a warrior alt that has full S3 (minus shoulders) that I was thinking I want to start tanking with. I tried it before a couple of times and I couldn't really tell if it was me or the group that was terribad (most likely me, friend said it was group). Anyway, my question is, should I start now or wait for expansion to switch gear and spec? Also, if I start now, whats the best way to go about getting gear? Can I keep any of my S3? Thanks in advance for any flames and/or help.

the expansion is a long ways away. my advice would be to pick up as many crafted tanking epics as you can.

if you do as many dailies a day as you can you should be able to pick up enough cash to afford most of these, and buy the SSO shield, http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34676, when you hit exalted (if not already)

You could also start doing kara pugs as dps and pick up some badges/tank loot no one needs.

Wait until expansion, since all the crappy craftables/KZ epics will be replaced on day one.
