i have read this in 2 topic's on main page during few days (so misstype is low probability)

Maelstrom Weapon now reduces the casting time of any spell by 4/8/12/16/20% when you critically hit with a melee weapon. (Old version : was only affecting Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning, and Lava Burst)

however i never noticed this changes in any af talent calculator's during same few days... so... am i missing something?

They probably changed it back because of too many PvP Enh Shamans using it as instant-heals (and there is no way to interrupt it as they don't ever cast either)

Is the effect magic? As in, can the stacks be dispelled/purged? That seems like it'd be the only counter to crazy instant heals, yaknow?

Atm it's back to it's 'Old' version in beta, so no instant heals.

well blibli count any spell that have cast time and can be used in combat exept healing spels... so when they change it to "any spell" why would they surprised of shaman start insta-healing?
