Sorry, I still don't see it. Both builds look exactly the same when I click the links.Originally Posted by Soopr Serial

don't knock the points in anticipation till you read the warrior changes...especially in the area of Overpower...
if you are sacrificing the extra armor from toughness it would be most beneficial to pick up anticipation to avoid some extra dmg from any non-magic based attack.
That's what I'll be running and I'm just hoping it all stays how it is till I get there lol
Ive had this build in my head ever since the Maelstrom weapon talent came out,
http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?sham...13353114201050
I went ele fury assuming i was using FS/lavaburst cycle, the 2 points in GW i might toss into to
ele shields, depending on mana problems, and you lose 1 point in UA, but the added dps of the
extra crit bonus+ the extra survivability in pve (elemental warding)+ reducuction in shock Cd
AND all the extra spell dps coupled with Elemental Devastation i think make up for it. Of course
though this all hinges on the Enhance shaman using a FS/Lavaburst rotation.
I was surprised noone else had posted a similar build yet. comments

My build-to-be (pvp)
We aren't talking about PvE only Personally for PvP I find my build (12/59/0) still the best.Originally Posted by Heck

I know it won't be the same at 80, but I haven't the foggiest idea of exactly how much Int they're gonna stack on mail in xpack.
Other things that are still up in the air are things like the stun effect on Imp Fire Nova Totem. First it was a stun (GOOD!) then it was a really good slow (good, but maybe not worth the deep dive into elemental), and now hearing it's a stun again.
I'm still a fan of Static Shock. I know it's not the most impressive talent in all the land, but I use Lightning Shield a good deal in pvp, and I like the idea that LS will have a little longevity to it. The extra little ticks of dmg are nice as well. The only reason I can think of not speccing this is to use the extra points to get at Imp Fire Nova Totem, should it keep it's stun proc.
and PvP builds without Elemental Warding? Really?
PVE

maybe ignoring imp ghost wolf and using those two points on ancestral knowledge if there isnt any outdoor dungeon/raid
PVP
http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?sham...13353114201251 maybe, but im not really sure about this one
You'll miss alot of dps if you're going to specc this way. Since Spell Crit and Melee/Ranged Crit is now 1 stat: Critical strike rating, you'll be doing alot of crits with shocks also. I suggest picking Elemental Devastation so when you crit with a spell you get 3/6/9% more Meleecrit for 10 sec aswell. This way your Maelstrom weapon will stack up way faster. Then use Flameshock, which gives you a pretty big chance to crit again, and this way you'll keep the Elemental Devastation buff up. After Maelstrom Weapon has stacked up and you've placed a Flameshock on the target you should use Lavaburst which is instant thanks to the Maelstrom Weapon now, and also 100% crit chance because Flameshock is on the target.Originally Posted by LocutuS
For the best dps you should take the 12/59/0 build as I posted before:

There seem to be (to my mind) only really two potentially viable pure raid dps builds for enhancement shaman, given the current build. The first is here:
http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?talent=hVhhoZhxxcoxdIekgzVo
This build leaves 4 points left to spend, with my personal preference of them going into Spectral transformation and Improved Ghostwolf, or into Convection for more mana effecieny - perhaps necessary if potion sickness is sticking around. However, shamanistic focus and elemental focus should reduce costs of spells enough. What should also be noted about his build is that it makes use of the totem inprovements, which are necessary for the buffing of raids, and that it assumes Feral spirit's raid utility.
The second build I'm considering which I shall admit is widely experimental is as follows:
http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?talent=hEhuobzZoxxcoxkIgkgzV
I posted a similar build to this on the shaman forums some time ago, and the highlight of it is the talent elemental fury, which increases your critical spell damage bonus by 100%. There are in my opinion, two real sacrifices with such a build, and several smaller ones. Firstly you lose 2% weapon hit (it was either that, 10% spell damage from AP, or Shamanistic rage). Secondly you lose Feral spirit. Smaller sacrifices include the loss of the buffs to totems. However, the increased damage from spells may be worth it, especially given the new gear and crit system.
some nice ideas on this thread...i like the idea of the Flame Shock/Lava Burst rotation to add a bit more involvement to raiding as Enh.
Good job Blizzard. Also like the new GW improvements....at last we get some kite/anti-kite talents (i know Toughness is good too).
Only thing thats missing, that i was hoping to see, was some kind of 2h pvp talents. I miss the old Pre-TBC 2h Enh Shaman BGS with my Unstoppable Force!...maybe a 40% WF proc rate on 2h with 2sec WF CD? As it stand 2h is still pretty much dead.

Coming from an Enhancement Shaman who does nothing but pvp and arena, this spec will be THE pvp spec if the talents stay the same. There are 2 talent points that you could throw anywhere, and that would be 1 in Tidal Force, and 1 in Static Shock.
http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?sham...13353115211251
With this build, as soon you get a full 100% maelstrom effect, you can pop Tidal Force and get an instant 60% chance crit Healing wave, then keep casting Lesser Waves if you're getting beat on.
Here is my current armory build to prove I do know what I am talking about, at least to some degree.
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...&n=Enhancement
-Enh
You should really get Elemental Devastation for PvP..since spell/melee/ranged crit will be the same. You will be having around 30% melee and spell crit all the time as Enh with some reasonable gear. You will be using alot of Flameshocks and Instant Lava burst (100% crit with Flameshock) because of Maelstrom Weapon. So you will be having 9% extra melleecrit almost constantly.
If you're an enhancement shaman that does nothing but arena, you should realise that you shouldn't spend most of your time/mana on healing.Originally Posted by Enhancement

Except for best dps a PvP snare removing talent is completely useless?Originally Posted by Balduvian
I also don't understand why everyone is getting over-excited and maxing Ancestral Knowledge. With rough estimations we're going to be looking at 400 Int tops buffed in WotLK raids, thats a grand total of 40 Int and thus AP. I'm looking at people skipping the Enhancing Totems talent to max this, when you're going to gain alot more from the Enhancing Totems.
http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?talent=hVhhoZhhxIoxdIekguVo
That is the max DPS build, but if you find you are really swimming in mana, you can always drop Elemental Focus in favour of 4/5 AK (an extra 8AP tops ZOMG).
Not taking Imp GW and Spectral Transformation for PvP? I really don't get that. But hey, GL.. :
Ah ok, I thought we were talking MAX DPS, not Max PvP DPS!Originally Posted by Balduvian
