Exotic Pet's fate upon respec?

What if a full BM hunter with the 51 point talent, tames an exotic pet. Then he drops his talents, losing his 51 pointer and the ability to tame exotic pets.

What would happen to his current exotic pet? Does it vanish? Do you get to keep it? Do you have to stable it or drop it to be able to respec?

I would love to know as well, I have a hunter alt and he might be changing into my main in wotlk I doubt they'll disappear, they'll probably have to be stabled before you can respec though, which is only a minor inconvenience.

if you have the pet when you respec it gets desummoned and you have to stable it. if it is stabled you can't access it until you respec BM.

so... you keep the pet you just can't use it until you are BM again
