Curse of Doom...from a target that yields honor?

Curse of Doom now summons a Doomguard only if the target yields experience or honor.

Hopefully this is not a typo, but I'm pretty sure it is.

"from a creature that yields experience or honor" is probably macroed to one of their keys so they don't have to type it for every spell, i.e., drain soul. It will be experience unless killing NPCs with new battlegrounds yields honor. Been a while since I AVed...perhaps NPCs like Balinda too?

Not exaclty true since some mobs are of good enough level (ie 62 or higher), that dont give shards, experience or honour. And thus wouldnt summon a doomguard. (latest mobs ive seen are the level 70 adds in the brd brewfest)

It means what it says, if you kill a mob that yields experience or honour with cod, it will produce a doomguard.

Its exaclty as it says.

I think they meant NPCs that wield honor, like faction leaders. I'm not sure if they still give honor, it's been a while since I participated of a city raid.

It's not like allowing CoD to be cast on players would be that awesome... You have a minute to find a decurser, and you can't even one-shot anyone right now.

Plant it in arena vs a non-decurser team, survive 57 seconds and BAM NUKE!

Imagine playing a Rogue/Warlock team. The Warlock can choose to be the target by telling the Rogue to wait before entering the fight. Since they're double DPS, they're pretty likely to be able to take down atleast one enemy. Before(if) the Warlock dies, he plants CoD on the other enemy. Rogue restealths or Vanishes, stalls the fight for almost a minute and stunlocks while the huge number pops up on the Warlocks screen That's an advantage in a 1v1 fight you simply cant overcome.

If I'm not mistaken, a quest is required to get the spell "Summon Doomguard". Am I required to do this quest to actually be able to summon a Doomguard when casting CoD?

It's not exactly a spell, but a ritual like Ritual of Souls, where 4 other people have to click it (and one will unavoidably die, mwhaha). But no, you don't need to complete the quest to get one off CoD. Before doing that quest I used to spend several minutes spamming CoD on low lv mobs outside SW to get one :P

There's a legend a Doomguard off CoD is weaker than from RoD, tho... /shrug

If they make the doomgaurd stronger since its a lvl 60 mob...so unless they make doomgaurd strong and ur own lvl its a good skill

It's like a spider laying eggs in you, better get them out

Oh, some locks had that kind of amusement before, CoD being the killing blow on a boss and it almost wiping the raid right after.

yeah for real i would sit on a hill in AV and tab target every ally that ran by and just put doom on them...imagine a whole team dying at once and getting like 10 doomguards spawn.

The curse is on a 1 min cooldown if I'm not mistaken
