    Jewelcrafting AP vs. STR in perfect cuts

    Ok so the old logic was STR > AP due to the fact that STR scaled with BoK. Now if a perfect cut grants 15% bonus to a +20 AP gem vs. a +10 STR gem does that outweigh the BoK effect?

    I'm a warrior and I'm interested in socketing myself with my own perfect gems, but it seems there is now room to argue that AP > STR possibly in this situation?

    I dont think you understand my point....

    15% of 20 is more then 15% of 10

    20x1.15=23
    10x1.15=11.5x2=23

    go with str, same base ap, and it scales with kings

    I haven't seen if the perfect STR gems round up to 12 or down to 11, but even if they do round down, they still win after BoK comes into play.

    20 AP gem --> +15% --> 23 AP gem --> BoK --> 23 AP
    10 STR gem --> +15% --> 11 or 12 STR gem --> BoK --> 24 or 26 AP

    What Komaru said. Another thing to consider if you are Arms is the one talent that gives you a certain % more Str. For this purpose, one gem, it would not be a factor, however for multiple gems it would start making an additional minor impact. The Str gems are still slightly better, however, I'd like to think that no one encounter would come down to 2 AP.
