I was thinking about what second spec would I take and I'm not really a pvp fan...

I came up with this one - a spec based on Incanter's absorption for boss encounters that will deal damage to me. Any thoughts?

Why? It is based on Ice barrier kept up constantly and incanter's absorption. You should have +800 bonus damage constantly as well as arcane power and all.

Did you mean you wanted a PvP 2nd build? I've been trying putting together different PvP specs, and had one close to yours.

This is just more PvP oriented, with AP instead of that annoying WE. :P
Gives more damage and survivability with those Arcane tree goodies. Based on semi-high Frostbolt, Ice Lance and CoC crits. Ice Barrier and Mana Shield up and with IV and AP you should get some good damage output in PvP.
I don't quite know why, but playing frost without WE seems much more fun. A bit harder sometimes and an ilogically choice for most people, but what the heck, it will challenge your playstyle, plus you get higher crits.

No, I meant a PvE spec.

This is not meant as a primary spec, but rather as a one for specific encounters, such as Sapphiron (constant damage).
The idea is to constantly keep Ice Barrier up to absorb damage to increase spell damage by 800.

I can see the logic in that but I think it is too early to decide if another spec focused on that is really needed.

Well that would probably be a good spec if you wanted to try and solo Ony.... but no. Just, no.

Edit: LOL! the spec is "based around Incanter's absorbtion" yet you dont get 3/3 absorbtion...

3/3 absorption is not needed. 2 absorbs dmg quickly enough and 3rd point does not give a spellpower boost
