Exorcism - Now cant be used in pets, why??

According to the new patch changes, exorcism was nerfed again, now we cant use on pets also.

Was this really necessary? is a 3k (5k against lock pets) hit every in a 15 sec CD against a pet was so game breaking?

They say blizzard dont nerf things based on players whiners, but with this last change I really cant belive this anymore.

It was dealing more damage than 3K, but I do think it is a pretty pointless change.

I don't really use it against pets a lot and don't mind it that much, I just mind that they've been doing all of this "Can't be used on players" stuf lattely instead of standing by what they said before about not wanting PVP/PVE to be two different games.

Exorcism was helping to turn pets into nothing better than mobile totems. We can still 2-3 shot them, just can't do it from 30 yards now.

But there's something to note... before we had Exorcism agains't all targets (3.1), we had it agains't demonic lock, Dk lich, Ghoul, Lock pets... Now (after this patch) we can't use it agains't any of these targets... Can't see the problem ?

Before was better than after getting it "buffed" from PvP pov...

Ps: Actualy it can be used to break totems, but dunno if it'll still be possible in 3.1.2

Exorcism not usable on players? Fine, it was too much anyway.

Exorcism not usable on hunters pets? Again, fine it couldn't before anyway.

Exorcism not usable on demons and undead because its controlled by a player? Not ok, Blizzard are purely changing this because the spell got given a 100% chance to crit on demons and undead....I'm confused as to why they didn't stop it working on hunters pets, allowed it to work on what it could BEFORE this stupid change and removed the crit chance. From what i remember the crit chance was introduced because they reduced the damage on the PTR when they allowed it to be used on anything. Then they buffed the damage throughout the PTR, so it now gains around 35% more damage from glyphs and talents. So why is the crit chance still needed? Oh was it so the spell still made sense in the 'game world' of using exorcism on a target.

Not a great change to be honest, why can't pve keep their new exorcism and pvp can have the old one back? UNCHANGED? At least its helpful against shamans (unless they changed that TOO FFS)

On a side note, its not a massive deal, im still going to kill a lock's pet in less that 3 GCDs, esp when the healers in a cyclone and the locks in a repent/stun.

I want my old Exorcism back....

I enjoyed making Meta locks and Dks who pop lichborn pay for it, it just makes sense being able to punish them for changing their status. It was kind of a let down to be in arena and see a demo lock go meta form and not be able to exorcism.

Though its kind of retarded that my holy wrath will work on them but exorcism can't.

I hate to be "that guy" but blizz needs to fix their crap, 4 k extra front load burst on a cd is "hoorible" but a dks on demand burst is far more devastating now with the change to judgement crits and not one person is bitching about it. 4k crit frost strikes, 6k crit death strikes.. come on.

I like dks, not an issue with them but damn blizz needs to stop getting stupid on ret pallys.

thats basically wheres it headed if the constant flow of little nerfs continues. I love my pally in pve and pvp still but shit everytime I do arena on my blood dk or my rogue I feel like my mage partner (or any other class) would do insanely better without a ret pally.

No Ret Paladin should be terribly upset about this (Exo wasn't intended for PvP, it was to compensate for Ulduar not having any Undead mobs).

What should enrage every Ret Paladin (really, every Player) is that Exo usuable on everyone went through the PTR 'just fine', and it was only after a week of LIVE 'testing' that it was deemed OP for PvP and hotfixed.

That Blizzard is releasing stuff from their TESTING server to be TESTED on live servers is inexcusable; and Rets have seen more then their fair share of hotfixes on LIVE for things that were deemed 'fine' on the PTR.

Blizz needs to fail less at their job. Period.

play a ret pally in arena and say that again. properly it is like playing a (i hate to put it this way) offensive melee disc priest. I am a pain in the ass through out the entire fight, I am fairly easy to kill if focused but if I play it right I will kill you just before you kill me. I do damage from hurting myself and I have my finger on the dispel button keeping my partner free to help engineer the kill by combining my long cd abilitys with his.

No class is genuinely faceroll in arena and every person that says that mess probably has never gotten past 1800 rating. some are easier then others. rogue is easier then ret in arena, at least for me. I can get to 2k rating on my rogue easier then a ret pally. I roll the disc priest/rogue comp and do just damn fine. I run ret pally/mage which is far more fun but a great deal more difficult (a wrong timed cd, a too soon sheep, a early trinket on my stun anything can make the game a loss). so... trolls should just shut the hell up.
