Non Battle.net Accounts offline on November 12th

I have a question that wasn't answered on the Q/A and was hoping someone could help me. My account is currently inactive, does merging with battle.net force me to reactivate it and pay the payment? The terms of use says this

If your asking what i think you are, no, you don't need to re activate to merge and there is no payment required for merging with battle.net. You can merge your account with a battle.net account at any time provided it isn't a banned account, no money is needed.

Well this might be a stupid questiong but how the **** do I merge it?
I am from denmark so obviously I play on EU servers and well in my account management and on wow-eu I cant find anything about it? A lil' help would be much appreciated.

I actually was able to write down my new secret questions in a safe place since I had forgotten my original WoW ones, so probably a good thing I merged.

Hmm this might me abit"too much" but:

-At blizzcon they said they wanted to do a revamp to the LFG interface by allowing the feature to look in the battlegroup
-A few weeks/months ago a feature was show about the new battle.net stuff ( cross-realm friendlist)
-Now they said it will have to be done BEFORE 12 November( a thursday), EXACTLY a year After they released WoTlk.

Imho, does this mean 3.3 will be released on 11 November together with the new battle.net features?

The 3.3 release sounds logical since its been a year we set foot in Northrend.
