regardless of the loot this is my favorite event of the year by far.

Defintly soloable.. i joined and just ended up DPSing for all 7 rounds (it bugs sometimes and people can go twice) 7 runs. 1 broom 6 Healing rings, 1 helmet and 1 sword. and one pet. I got pet and sword

nop they aren't, they have casting timer like all rest mounts

Also, what is drop rate for mount? Wowhead says 0.3% which is kinda weird comparing to Direbrew mounts drop chance.

Yes. The speed depends on your skill.

why the feck do people have to complain about ilvl and loot from a holiday boss.
its a simple holiday boss not a boss from ulduar/totc. really, stop bitching about the loot these holiday bosses drop. theyre meant to be fun and theyre optional. also an even easier way to gear alts up.

seems like most people only care about epics these days. open your damn eyes and see what else the game has to offer apart from shinys

This, not every epic in the game needs to be Heroic in nature.

As a druid, I'm disappointed not to be able to even EQUIP any of the items with use effects. With my gear, there's no way I could have fathomed seeing upgrades, but it sure would have been nice to get another "toy".

I don't think its unreasonable to want higher iLevel drops from seasonal bosses. Blizzard already has done it with a 226 BOE from Beerfest. Now that casuals can pick up 245s from heroics, its certainly not unreasonable to let them get a few more 226s from the occasional seasonal events. iLevel 200 is sort of a joke at this point.

I got two brooms - one rare, one uncommon.

The uncommon broom is 14 days.

The rare broom does not have a time limit on it but 'requires hallows end'.

The rare broom will fly in flyable zones, but if you have to remount when you leave Dalaran (eg) as the flying property is decide based on where you mount it.

Sadly, they didn't make the rare broom unique (assuming I am right about it not hacving a time limit), as people were continuing to roll for it after they'd won one.

The mount also don't become 'spells' like other mounts but remain in your inventory.

With the gear dropping out of the 5-man Icecrown instances, this gear is pretty pathetic.

It's soloable.

It certainly looks it (126k health and all), but it's not necessarily in your interest as you get one chance at loot rather than 5 in a full group. Of course, there's no competition but most of the items drop quickly enough anyhow.

Indeed. It's soloable, but how smart it is to solo it is all up to each player.
