Are you serious? Google "Economies of Scale". $700 per ONE mini-pet is fucking ditcheap, lets assume that there are 10 million wow accounts and that 1% buy pets, that is 10 million USD / 700 = 0

Initially, it DOES cost them money to make the mini-pet (which people seem to think otherwise).

There is ALWAYS a chance no-one will buy them (going by the amount of QQ by this thread), which means they COULD (although unlikely) lose $700 if no-one ever bought it.

Of course atleast 140 people will buy it, that much is obvious (otherwise they would'nt have bothered to create and release it).

Now, lets get to the bottom of the QQ...

Are you complaining because you want to buy it, but can't afford it?
Are you complaining because it should be earned in game?
Are you complaining because you ain't old enough to own a credit/debit card but REALLY REALLY want it, so are being a douche to people that DO have a credit/debit card?

Commercialism forces the development of an economy (up or down), which is a good thing.

I've got 100 pets or so and I use a critter add-on to make sure I always have a companion out, got a few super rare one's like Mini Tyrael but I don't care to have it, or any of the other super rare pets, out all the time.

I guess it's because they're there for my own enjoyment and not to show off to other players, don't get me wrong I like the fact I have super rare pets few people have but it's the pet I like even more not other people's reactions.

Hey, everyone complaining about 10 euro against 10 bucks - I've just bought 2 pets from US store, paid them $20, got my Lil' KT and Monk despite I play at RU server (which is part of EU servers obviously). Feels good man.
