Yeah. I live in rural Georgia. Feels like I'm the only person in a 100-mile radius who doesn't care for country music, and I've found myself having conversations like that.

People usually say, "Really" or "Oh..." when I they find out part of music listening includes a lot of metal. The "Oh..." typically happens when a friend walks into my house and have like Massacre or Sunn0))) blaring (we have sonos).

Funny enough, my husband's friend was amused the other day when I was queuing Demolition Hammer's Epidemic of Violence. Despite the fact the friend knows my husband also enjoys brutal music. For whatever reason he just assumed I can't headbang like a maniac.

If you like Bolzer, you will love this. Easily one of the greatest caverncore records I've ever heard. Their drummer was in Altar of Plagues I believe.

I didn't expect anything from the new High on Fire after I heard the singles leading up to its release and my expectations were met.

I felt it was a decent if underwhelming record.

I didn't expect anything from the new High on Fire after I heard the singles leading up to its release and my expectations were met. Only two good songs on there, one being Slave the Hive, which has been out for years already and all the other songs are just bland, uneventful and sometimes just too long for what they're doing with them. Matt Pike also seems to have lost it with all the conspiracy theory shit he's talking about.

Completely agree. Very underwhelming compared to previous releases.

Anyway, the new Abyssal is shaping up to be a MONSTER.
