New Ghost is really good.
Some properly brilliant but a couple that don't quite hit the right heights.
Solid 9/10 all the same.
Sturm und drang still my album of the year. Soilwork Maiden still to be released though so lets wait and see.
Incorrect. Drought is one song. Take a closer look at the song titles.
Similar thing as with that Meshuggah album (Catch 33) that, in retrospect I totally should've linked, where they clipped one song into a couple tracks.
No mention of Crimson? For shame!
And, of course, Dopesmoker.

True dat. Could easily have mentioned those as well.
Oh, as to Fall of Efrafa, I'd prefer this track. Still my favourite, I think.
I really enjoy it, more so then Silence in the Snow. I'm missing the screams a bit, they could at least have Corey (Main Guitar/Backing Vocals) have some screams here and there like they did on several previous songs, I think it would round it off a little better, and I've always been a huge fan of Corey's screams, hes pretty good actually.
also, something to listen:

- Start with Paracletus (probably the most accessible album).
- Chaining the Katechon (split)
- Fas – Ite, maledicti, in ignem aeternum (their least accessible album)
- Kénôse (EP)
- Mass Grave Aesthetics (EP)
- Si monvmentvm reqvires, circvmspice (the record before the transformation that happened during Kénôse)
- Drought (EP)
- Diabolus Absconditus (EP)
I'd say Paracletus and Si Monvmentvm are probably the best two to start with. Si Monvmentvm is a bit more straight forward.
Yeah in retrospect I would put Si Monvmentvm higher.
New Thy Catafalque coming out in the fall. FINALLY FOR FUCK'S SAKE.
New track sounds weird as shit: http://www.popmatters.com/post/19658...udio-premiere/
Who are Thy Catafalque? One of the most essential avant-garde bands, you should get into them asap:
Greatly enjoying the new Ghost record. The arrangements and production are fabulous. I think the clean-ness of the production easily put some off- perhaps even more so on Ghost's Hard Rock take on Merciful Fate.
I sorta love it though.
