John Frusciante, hands down. Many people say he is Jesus reborn, and I think he is. In my opinion he is the best living guitar player atm.
Check his solos at youtube. Search for "Parallel Universe Slane Castle"
Paul Gilbert, Joe Satrianni, Slash, Jimmy H. Mars Volta guy, Vai, Friedman, Mustaine, Dimebag Darrell, K. King, Tom Morello, Van Halen, Tommy Emmanuel, Zappa, Eddie Hazel, etc.
Just good guitar players in general, I have no favourite
Pual Gilbert and A.J. Minette. 8)

Not necessarily the fastest or most technically gifted but I really enjoy their music nonetheless.
God I don't have one favourite!
But my favourites are, in no particular order:
Stevie Ray Vaughan (imo one of the top 3 guitarists of all time)
Paul Gilbert (can play a lot of different styles better than most people can play one style, although some of his lyrics suck lol)
Matt Bellamy (probably the best live guitarist I've seen)
Eddie Van Halen (possibly fighting for best guitarist with Hendrix)
And ofc, the legend that is Jimi Hendrix who really doesn't need a reason apart from that he is awesome lol.
Adrian Smith from Iron Maiden is my favourite lead guitarist... oh my goodness he is amazing! I feel kinda honored to share my first name with him

Brian 'Head' Welch - Former KoRn guitarist.
James 'Munky' Shaffer - KoRn guitarist.
They're both just awesome!
No perticular order:
Eddie Van Halen(King of Complicated)
Angus Young(King of Simple)
David Gilmore(No ones replicating those bends)
Slash(everything he touches turns to gold)
Randy Rhodes(The embodyment of Epic, whole Diary of a Madman album)
Steve Vai(Head Cutting Duel anyone, intense riffs and solos)
Joe Satriani(Wicked tunes and whammy action)
Im stuck in a time warp from a time i was never in :P if that makes any sence.
Jimi hendrix is sweet but his style is soo sloppy. Jimmy paige on the other hand is the absolute best guitar player when he is not on heroine
My fovorites atm is Christopher- and Michael Amott from arch enemy (melodic death metal).
imo they manage to combine speed and melody like nobody else.

the name is Andy Mckee. he plays an entire "band" with his guitar. he has percussion, bass, lead guitar, and almost sounds as though you can hear vocals as well in a sense.
"Nergal"
Adam Michał Darski from Behemoth.
