Gem issues?

I am currently dual spec'd holy/disc and recently was reading that for disc priests I should worry alot more about stacking intellect as a paladin would then other things. I was pretty happy with my gems but now am not sure if certain ones are correct or should be changed. I tend to heal alot more often in disc but wouldnt want to change my gems so that they would greatly inhibit my holy healing power. Any help with gem ideas would be greatly appreciated. Disc gemming and holy gemming are two different beasts. Generally Disc mainly needs pure SP gems unless you are having mana troubles in which you can gem sp/intel in yellow sockets. Blue would be spell power. Spirit does nothing for Disc there is no spirit to sp conversion talent for Disc. But since you are off spec holy that is fine.

Everything seems to be gemmed fine except for your ashen verdict ring. Replace it with pure sp gem. That 2 mp5 not helpful.

For Disc I suggest pure SP gemming. If you have mana issues, use SP items with MP5 or Spirit. Your goal should be to maximize your SP, so in my opinion its fucking shit to gem for intellect.
Our haste cap is so low and you will shield/pom spam 90% of the time that the haste cap is no problem. If you have enough haste for the gcd cap, go for items with MP5/Crit or Spirit/Crit. After you are hastecapped Crit is by far superior to haste, specially in icc25 hc. Crit would push your Glyph Healing, your PoM Healing and DA. And that is arroung 30% of your overall healing. 60% is PWS and penance, flash or renew are 10%, usually lower. As you can see, 90% arn´t profit at all from haste. Haste would do nothing because the only thing you cast is maybye a penance and that is hasted from BT.

Int is a realy nice stat, but SP is the only thing that matters. I´m fully buffed at 34.5k Mana and 1.4k Spirit, so Mana isn´t an issue at all, I can spam PWS the hole lich king encounter without looking for rapture procs through downranking.

Gem SP, aim for enough MP5/Spirit on your gear and then fucking spam your PWS/POM key. ;D
A tip for max profit from fiend:

-> PI yourself
-> Shadowfiend
-> HoH

If you cast the spell in that order you will maximize your manareg and minimize your GCD costs.

AN example for my healing from our last Putricide HC Trys:

48% PWS, 33,6% DA, 9% PoM, 6,7% PWS Glyph, 1.3% Penance and 0.7% Renew. Only 2214 Heal and 10k overhealing from Flash over 21 Trys ;D. The huge amount of DA Healing is because critical PWS Glyph triggers DA and DA is consumed before PWS and the Raiddamage is really low on Putricide Hard. As you can see Haste hastn´t any effect to my overall healing.

OK so i am considering replacing all of my http://www.wowhead.com/item=40133 with http://www.wowhead.com/item=40113 to maximize my disc output without severely hurting my holy healing?

From the holy point of few I´m not up to date because I´m a Disc Priest since early ToC.
I hope another priest can answer this question, but I think more SP would never hurt your holy healing that bad.
This little amount of spirit lost won´t hurt your Holy healing

And respec your disc spec to http://www.wowhead.com/talent#bVcbuhhVRIsffRt0Ezc and your Holy spec to http://www.wowhead.com/talent#bVcbhZfvzcb0qihhcuAo if you have to raidheal only. The 3 points you can spend where you want, my personal choice would be Body and Soul because you can often help players afflicted by spell like the red blob on putricide, the defile targets on lk or plague targets on rotface.
