Wound poison in 2s?

so me and my 2s partner, a frost mage, are having problems with resto druids. most of the time they start out from stealth kitty and they come out when my partner starts hitting on his partner. i start with instant MH and deadly OH, so should i spend the 5 seconds to apply wound to my mh and let my partner take a beating? or should he pretty much waste an iceblock while waiting for me. this question pretty much applies to any 2s comp with a healer, not just druids.

You should never have Instant poison on your MH in PvP, Period. Always wound.

Deadly/Wound for 1.8/1.8
Wound/Deadly for 1.8/1.4

Deadly helps with abolish protection as well.

I was always under the impression DP will still stack faster on the MH due to finshers procing from the MH and not the OH?
Always seemed that way in practice too.
