Im mostly into Metal, but not the hardest nor the softest of metal.

Your class doesn't determinate what type of music you listen. Therefor the Music forums would fit this a lot more.

While im not a fan of them, but Enter Shikari - Thumper is a pretty pro tune to raid with, Also Tool - Jambi & The Pot, HED (PE) Bartender, the Majority of Mindless Self Indulgence songs, Something more heavy, Salt the Wound - Slight Burning Sensation is awesome!
I tend to have a vast array of music that i play while raiding.

Listen to Best in Town by The Blackout! It's the greatest album ever imo, and it seem's to be to your taste. Not really soft rock, but not totally heavy metal

I find that listening to Daft Punk makes me better at whatever I'm currently doing 8) but I don't get the chance to listen in raids because I need to hear vent

Get a sound card, and use on board for in game/music and second for vent, or vise versa.

I'd go for some John Philip Sousa.
I dont know why, but his compositions seem to match the tedium of raiding as an enh shaman.

Depends on what I'm doing.
If I'm PVPing as Enhance I tend to listen to some Finnish Metal, such as Insomnium or Swallow the Sun.
When it comes to raiding, I listen to some Techno. Like Buddha Bar, or Kryptic Minds

Check out a band called "House vs Hurricane", I engineered their record "Perspectives" recently... makes for great BG music.
