This is correct. Spell haste is irrelevant to a Enhancement Shaman as all spells are instant cast. Having 1.0 sec GCD is good but that is NOT a cap for Enhancement as our primary benefit from haste is melee haste and having weapons swinging faster. Since every extra bit of haste makes the weapons swing faster there is no cap.

Having said that going wild on haste isn't a good idea. Most simulation shows that a balance with AP tends to be better. However it totally depends on YOUR gear as to what is right for YOU.

Practical upshot is that haste has no cap for Enh Shammy, but don't go wild with it.

For elemental there's no point in which you'll stop gearing Hit (till cap) > SP > Haste > Crit. Most people consider the cap at 1269 haste or so, but there's no cap you should be seeking.

Most restoration shamans I know aim for 1269.
