    Bio - Lorhana Dawnblood

Bio of Lorhana Sunstrike / Dawnblood

    Age: 130 (EDIT:Fixed)

    Race: high elf/blood elf

    Class: Mage/Warrior/Paladin

Lorhana started life born as the daughter to Thaelis Sunstrike, an archmage of the Sunwell guard and
Her mother Larissa Swiftstrike, a rogue her father met on his travels as a young mage to Dalaran and later wed.

Lorhana took up the arcane arts at a young age taught by her now high ranked father. Eventually she was sent to Dalaran to continue her studies with other magic proficient pupils of alliance races the finest of which being Jaina Proudmoore who she had met only a few times in her years in Dalaran . Still she respected Jaina's ability with the arcane arts, maybe even too much causing her to doubt her own abilities.

Years later she received a message from her father requesting she travel to Dire Maul, hidden deep in the forest of Feralas, to find the lost sect of high elves called the Shen'Dralar and acquire some ancient tomes from the elves.

She carried out her father’s request , riding through hostile land of the horde and stopping off half way at Theramore , catching a few glances of the young miss Proudmoore again with her father in some sort of argument over attacking horde lands...she thought nothing of it and continued on to Feralas.

The young mage reached Dire maul and befriended the Shen'Dralar inside , opting to study with them for a month after leafing through the tomes her father requested ,Powerful defensive magic volumes 1- 8 ,And teleporting them to silvermoon.

At the end of the month of her study with the Shen'Dralar she began to hear news of a 'plague of undeath' from passing night elf patrols, at first it seemed like it was a small nuisance but then she heard it mentioned saying Stratholme has fallen , her immediate though was Dalaran.

She left the elves the next morning promising to keep their sect hidden, and teleporting directly to Dalaran... It was too late, Dalaran had been decimated and the high Mage Antonidas killed by prince Arthas and the eredar Archimonde.
Devastated that all she knew had been destroyed she realised there was one place she must save ... Silvermoon.
After asking a nearby mage where the scourge were seen heading he said 'north, towards Stratholme' and she saw her worst fears realised, they were coming for silvermoon...but why?

After teleporting to silvermoon she realised she was, again, too late and saw the path of destruction leading through silvermoon straight to the Sunwell.

She then heard the sickening tale of so many good high elves ,including the ranger general Sylvanas and the king , slain in the name of summoning a single lich...disgusting.

Her first thought was too check that her family was okay so she prepared to teleport when she felt all the entry drain from her...it then dawned on her that the Sunwell no longer gave her such power over magic than she was used to. Tired, she walked to Falconwing Square in search of her home. As she rounded the corner of the street decimated by the scourge she saw that nearly every house was crumbled and lifeless, her own large house in the centre of the square crumbling but intact. Terrified she ran into the house to see if anyone survived, shouting for her parents. Luckily she found them in their room her mother tending to her father.

Her father had defended with battalion of spellbreakers at Anasterian's side but it was no use, the Scourge were merciless destroying all but her father and tainting the Sunwell. Lorhana was so pleased to see her father alive that she burst into reads and hugged him while her mother described the strange circumstances to his illness.

It seemed that arch mage sun strike had not been hit by any magical or physical attack, though he showed signs of it, weakness and pale complexion also his fire green eyes becoming dull, her mother hoped it would just die down on its own.

A few days later, Lorhana was helping rebuild, with what little control of the arcane she still possessed, she noticed a few people out on the streets struggling to move, speaking to themselves and fidgeting uncontrollably, she figured a lot of people were homeless and that could drive you mad...but it would be something much more sinister than she could imagine.

The next day a battalion of defenders were attacking innocent civilians! Or so she thought, after questioning the battalion it seemed these homeless were under the affects of addiction to the Sunwell magic and all blood elves would become these 'wretched' if a cure was not found. She then turned to look at the bodies of one of them and then realised that it looked a lot like her father’s worsening condition! Running home she realised there were many wretched roaming the streets now. When she finally got home she found Falconwing Square had been taken by the wretched and innocent people were being slaughtered by them. She blew many of the wretched away with multiple fireballs before running to her home to find it positively seething with wretched. After defeating many of them she made it to her parents room, in Whig she saw her father had become wretched ,his face pale and thin: his finger bony and long, with his hand clasping a dagger that had been bored into Lorhana's mother's chest. Horrified at what she saw she ran all the way out of Falconwing, many wretched chasing her away.

Her life was falling apart , the only family she had were dead (or good as dead) , her place of learning destroyed and maybe worst of all she had lost all power over magic, barely managing to summon he bread she required to live.

After a few weeks of living in the shelters outside of silvermoon, Lorhana heard about Prince Kael'thas having a meeting with his council that was of high importance. Apparently he was taking his strongest forces to a place called Outland, a verdant forest of riches and immense arcane energies to sate our mana addiction as a race; he and he soldiers would go and build sanctuary for them, then he would return for the remaining high elves, now named blood elves to show gratitude to the many elves that lost their lives to the scourge and the wretched.

All Lorhana could think of for the next week was Outland how the place sounded so amazing, but over that time she realised that magic was what made this all happen, the hard ship it had caused...she was no longer a mage she decided, and she would never use arcane magic again no matter what the cost.

Renouncing magic was harder than she had imagined, she had pent up anger that would only have been sated by casting fireballs. She happened by a Spellbreaker training post in Eversong Woods where two warriors were sparring, she watched the young males fighting with all their might letting rage be their weapon...she liked this. Later on after the sparring was over she enquirer whether she could start training with them "you? A warrior? I doubt you could hold a sword let alone swing it , you have to have perfect muscle build to even dream of it young one, now go back to the mage trainer okay?" the older of the two Sin'Dorei said condescendingly. Lorhana walked away but rather than disheartened by this insult she was emboldened as it would fuel her rage for the time ahead.

In the following weeks she would spar for hours a day slamming and striking training dummies with swords and maces of all shapes and sizes and practice holding and blocking with sheilds.

By the next month she had become an expert with all weapons she could get her hands on yet the sparring team still would not spar her till she had proven herself to them by defeating a wretched

So one night the warriors took to night patrol killing any wretched still in the ruins of Falconwing. Being back here made Lorhana very cautious but her determination to prove herself was strong enough to get her through this she thought.

By the time sawn was setting in they had cleaned out many of the wet he'd and only one stronghold remained "the house of Sunstrike..." the older blood elf that Lorhana had come to know as Kaltar "you must prove your loyalty to us by clearing out your infested home, Lorhana, only then will you be accepted into the ranks of the shield breakers" he said

Lorhana accepted the task but was uneasy about the possibility of her father still being alive. Clearing many of the wretched easily she came into the bottom floor of her old house the room still as it was with the books that she had sent her father only 2 months past ,this was going to be harder than she thought. Fighting back tears she cleaved 3 wretched round the head who were feeding on mana crystals, and then she heard a noise "Thaelis...hungers...need more mana!" the wretched exclaimed as it jumped from a corner and attacked Lorhana. She saw a flash of his face, the face she had grown up with, the one that had given her the first tome in her mage career and taught her to polymorph things into sheep, before cracking her hammer down on his head. Immediately she burst into tears and fell to the ground next to him.

She awoke the next day at a recaptured camp in Falconwing the Spellbreakers had found her out cold and take her back here "you are to report to the high council today Lorhana " Kaltar informed her "you are being awarded for the great service of destroying the wretched ringleader". Reluctantly she reported to the council to receive her medal all the time fighting back tears. A mysterious woman was watching Lorhana from the shadows, sizing her up, and after the award was given she left, following Lorhana

The rest of the day was spent mourning her father and mother At the cemetery, praying that this was all a nightmare "I saw you at the award ceremony, you were crying but it was not joy, what is it that upsets you?" the mysterious woman asked
"the ringleader I killed" Lorhana stuttered ,pouring with tears "he was my father before this madness!" she screamed poising her hammer into the earth beside the grave" I will have vengeance on this world for what has become of me" she said defiantly lifting her hammer and breaking a tombstone in twain "It's not fair!"
"I understand” the stranger said unflinchingly to her outbreak
"I am forming an elite branch of warriors with a little extra...Power “she said smirking" and I'd like you to be one of these soldiers”
"What soldiers?" Lorhana asked her rage subsiding
    "The Blood Knights"

The next day the mysterious woman appeared in the courtyard where Lorhana was waiting outside the prince’s throne room
"In here" the woman said, Lorhana followed
In the vast hall was many of the soldiers that had been taken to Outland with the prince as well as some Spellbreakers she knew though Kaltar was not present, too old perhaps she thought

The woman motioned to Lorhana to sit at the table while she went to the right hand of the head of the table. Not a minute passed before Prince Kael'thas Sunstrider marched into the throne room and took his place at the head. Everyone in the room stood up and took a bow to the prince
Reagent and then he spoke" Please sit my council and prospective students of Miss Liadrin here" he motioned to the mysterious woman "Thank you all for coming his is of great importance. Many people seem to have the notion those things
Are not going as well in Outland as we had hoped" a few of the veterans nodded slightly "but" he said glaring at the dissenters "this is unfounded and wrong we have made great progress even so far as capturing a great keep from an old race there to help us with our Addiction" he said victoriously ,many people applauded "and now without further stalling here is the main event my subjects, THIS...is M'uru" he exclaimed as a great curtain was unveiled showing a glowing ethereal being trapped by mages using magical tethers "this great being “he said in an awe inspiring speech as the crowd sat amazed at what they were seeing "is made of pure holy light ,a light against the Darkness these times have put us in" he said as the crowd applauded "unfortunately it was not willing to come by choice so we has it detained, not that it matters, what matters is this gives us the chance to harness the power of a great being into something that helps the great Sin’Dorei race" he said looking towards miss Liadrin "and that's where the blood nights come in" she explained "we can harness the power of the holy light using M'uru as a conduit, meaning we can empower a select number of warriors with the ability to heal and smite foes with holy magic"

The crowd were amazed by this news and Lorhana was empowered by the news, finally something worth living for, and dying for

Prince Kael'thas continued "and that's why you are all here today to be selected as candidates for our group of holy magic warriors, the Blood Nights "'he said triumphantly

The crowd roared at this amazing opportunity and were told to report to Liadrin in the new Blood Knight Head quarters.

Lorhana went the next day to receive her new blessing and be taught her new spells, she had decided it was okay to use holy magic as this could only be used for good and it wasn't arcane but it could be used as a vessel for righteous vengeance, which was perfect

After rigorous training for one year she was officially promoted to blood knight and was given her tabard to show her allegiance. She knew now she would have to adopt a new name to reflect her new status, so she became known as Lorhana Dawnblood, The Sanguine Templar.

((Wow that is going to be too long for a bio))

Personality: she lives her life by honour but this can easily be blanketed by shear rage and a lust for revenge though she will always be loyal to the Blood Knights, the betrayal of Kael’thas giving the burning legion access to the sacred Sunwell has weakened her faith in silvermoon and blood elven society

Personal traits: carries with her an intricate hammer given to her by Kaltar after becoming a blood knight , her compulsive need to be occupied lead he to start drawing intricate designs on the mace adding to it only after a kill was made. Her shield is a thick metal slab fashioned into a tapered door shape which is nearly bigger than her adorned with spikes to crush her enemies with if the hammer doesn't finish them

((sorry this kinda turned into a novel i got all excited about making a back story and forgot to make it short >.<

Long histories are fine... A good portion of the senior RP'ers here do it.

The biggest issue is that 24 is still a child, in elven terms. The elves of the Eastern Kingdoms reach adulthood at 110 years of age. 24 would still be a small child.

Looks good, but as Madgod stated, fix the age.

    This should help: http://www.wowwiki.com/Lifespan.

Only concern is the date of birth, as the first war happened only about ~30 years since present day but you say she was born 130 years ago. Please correct this, the time of birth would be around the time of peace between the War of the three hammers and the Last Guardian (Aegwynn) ((sourced from wowwiki.com)).

Yeah, if Madgod gave you the get-go, I guess I don't really have to say anything else. I'll read it through if ever I RP with you
