    I need shadow priest advice!

Okay, so I have been Holy/Disc ever since BC. Not once have I touched, sniffed, or thought about Shadow. Recently, I got into a high end guild and they now want me shadow! So I need help with the spec., the gear, and the rotation. Can anyone help me out? >.<

    STAY AWAY FROM THAT WEBSITE.

I their ads are based on Gold Selling last time I checked. Elitist Jerks or this forum is just fine.

They have new owners and new advertisers. I have yet to see a Gold Selling ad.

That place is an invaluable resource, and still be even if it was powered by Gold Sellers running in giant hamster wheels.

Are you stupid? Shadowpriest.com is considered to be the best website for advice on gearing, glyphing, gemming, and playing a shadow priest.

Next you'll be telling us WoW is bad because there are gold sellers in-game.

Oh cool, I guess I'll start posting there then.

I really don't care what other people think. The moment I see a gold selling ad on a website, I throw that site into question. The owners of a site have control over what ad cycles they want on their site. Gold selling is buying other people's stolen gold. It has also been proven in the past hat malicious software can be put on to your computer simply by mousing over an add.

Sorry, I just don't support that, or anyone else who advertises it.

Now that the website has been updated with new owners, I will check it out again. That's right, I'm not arguing or denying this new information, I'm accepting it and admitting that things change, as do people's opinions based on new information. Please refrain from calling people stupid, just because they aren't up to date on things.

    "Slow" would be just fine.

    Thank you for your time.

    Just to rebuttal this:

It's not that simple. They get paid for an ad block that circulates, and is hopefully relevant. Even Google Ads are hopelessly infested, every time that a site flags an ad down as "inappropriate" or "gold seller" or anything, the ad creator (gold site) will remake it, and sneak it in anyways.

Even tankspot had this problem for awhile. Until the interwebz starts letting sites pay for themselves or charging users to go to them (via membership or microtransactions), ads will be required. As long as ads are required, gold-sellers will do whatever it takes to get them on there.

It's a never-ending cycle of system administration, but as long as the site is valued, it will keep happening.

I guess we should avoid sites like MMO-Champion and World of Raids for the random Gay Porn Site, Gold Selling, or script hack ad that makes its way through.

They're in control of the ads to an extent. But the ad-site they subscribe to generally sells off ad space to the highest bidder, and don't always check who's giving them the money. The ads that make it through, need to be reported for them to be taken out of circulation.

It not the sites, its the nature of ad-sites in general. Also be aware, depending on the ad-site used, the ads that appear can be 'personalized' by your own browser history. If you've tried even looking at a gold-selling site or looked up info regarding gold selling... you might actually be increasing the odds you see gold-selling ads.

Much like with food, regulation only goes so far. You also have to take proper precaution on your own end by cooking/storing food properly, and being aware of the conditions the food is sold under (Do you check to see if the food you buy has 3 months of dust built up on it?) to avoid food-born illness.

When it comes to WoW site ads, you can pretty much protect yourself from most scripts and block out some ad sites completely with a simple Firefox add-on like NoScript. And if you use Internet Explorer for web browsing... well you're just asking for trouble.
