Are Rogues the 1 on 1 kings?

meh, rogues dont do much damage, i kind of see them as an annoying fly around my head as im busy, they dont do much damage but just keep me busy till i decide to rage and kill them ( or they kill themselves, ret aura ftw )
the only thing which i hate about rogues, is that they can like " 3 second stun, 5 second stun, blind, 3 second stun, 5 second stun, vanish, 3 second stun, 5 second stun, its annoying as heck for a ret pally trying to stack 5 SOV on em

so to answer your question, no, they arent, theres many a classes which can kill em

Freedom KS or freedom CS and HoJ instantly. They usually trinket here. If they don't trinket that HoJ, just pop wings and the fight won't last that long. Just sayin

I think Frost Mages and even well played Feral Druids are better in 1v1.

Rogues are the kings of owning casters though (with exception of Frost Mages, those fuckers don't afraid of anything!)

They go down to Aff Locks. Also, if I'm fighting a Disc Priest 1v1 and see that I'm losing, I can just casually walk away and he'll be unable to finish me off. They just good at surviving and outlasting you while they slowly eat at your mana/hp.

If you ever use HoF to get out of CS on a good rogue, you're already dead.
You're dead soon after regardless either way though, so whatever you prefer.

I find Disc priests are potent against rogues, however the Disc then goes down to the Aff. Warlock, but the Aff warlock goes down to the rogue.. WTF!!>?>!@?>!:!<

If you, as a rogue, can't beat a warrior of ANY SPEC, you're probably in pve gear while the prot warrior is using full tank gear.

Most prot warriors use full arp setup and rock abysmal amounts of resilience. If you're any good, you'll know how to stay behind the target and even avoid most of the warriors stun's.

And to answer the original question. NO! Rogues are not 1v1 kings. They're good, yes, but the title EASILY GOES TO FROST MAGES.

my blood tank DK in full pve gear hasnt loss to any class and ive played all but warrior in full wraithful and won so much self healing almost cant lose.

If you are that Warlock you seriously need to L2Play...My vote would go to either a Frost Mage or Feral Druid though. Prot Paladins are pretty strong but aren't quite as strong against casters.

I dunno but both Aff and Destro Locks eat mages. Prot pallies indeed suck versus casters. Way too easy to let their div plea fall off too. Once trinket is down and fear/poly/whatever cc is up again just cc 'm till it falls off and they can't afford an avenger's shield for another minute.

I think id still have to go with arms warriors, yes i know what your thinking but, a very WELL played arms warrior can be a nightmare for any class due to their very versatile amount of abilities. Their only real drawback is that they are so heavily gear based, that if you dont supplement some high end pve gear as well your kinda screwed :/

Dunno why so many are saying frost mages...must be a lot of melee toons responding so far. Frost mages can be easily dismantled by feral druids and enhance shamans. Even Ele Shamans are superior given equal skills/gear. Any healer class can pretty much outlast a mages mana pool while slowly killing the mage, the exception being holy pallies and resto shamans. Shadow Priests can usually beat Frost mages. Warlocks and certain rogues are pretty much on par.

As for 1 vs 1 king...my vote would have to go to Ret pallies. That class is probably the rock with the least amount of papers to cover it.
