Hi Boub,

I admit I'm fairly unique in using Chromium 6 on linux, however... It's using your HTMl5 number input boxes and your javascript doesn't trigger when the up/down arrows are used.

As I have previously stated, this is an issue with chrome. It doesn't trigger the changed event correctly on release/beta, but dev is partially way there. There is absolutely nothing we can do.

thats strange boub your patch has more gigs then my down loader

mine is saying 1.58gigs, also might mean that you french players get more data then us Americans

Localized versions of the game also download translation stuff like texts and speech apart from the base packages that are in english.
Even if you play only in english, when you buy the game in a country with localized version, it'll come flagged as being of that country. In Boub's case, it'll be "frFR" and will download both frFR and enGB files. There are ways to skip those, but that's the standard case.

Well, the first part of 4.0.1 probably includes the old world, which is pretty much completed and fixed, tested to death and its ok for relase... also probably all the new UI/skins/music!

The part 2 will probably relased with all the equipment sets/skins/textures etc

Fix for "HELP! Background downloader no longer seems to want to start up"

+ open your WoW folder
+ delete BackgroundDownloader.exe
+ run "repair.exe" choosing the CHECK ONLY option
+ wait
+ re-launch BackgroundDownloader.exe, it will work again

Too bad that repair doesn't fully download backgrounddownloader.exe for me. Just stops halfway and that's it.

No, try reading it again.

Honor is honor. Like, you know, we've had honor points for the last couople of years in the game. You use honor points to buy PvP gear and the current cap of 75k honor is being raised even further.

The 4k cap is for Justice Points, which is the new PvE currency that is modelled on the old honor points for PvP. it will work similar but it is different. And it is for PvE, not for PvP.

Ehh... Did you read a different post than everyone else?

Your New Honor Points total will be the sum of the following amounts:

* Old Honor * 0.024
* Old Arena Points * 0.85
* Battleground Mark of Honor * 2.976
* Wintergrasp Mark of Honor * 19.08
* Stone Keeper Shard * 1.6
* Venture Coin * 3
* Spirit Shard * 1
....

Honor points above 4,000 are converted to gold at a rate of 35 silver per point of Honor.

That's what the blue post I read said. Which makes your parent post completely correct.

I'd love to go back to the days of TBC where the only epics you had came from raiding or being exhalted with a faction, I loved doing heroics with people in blue gear which took like 2 hours and when you got someone full epic you KNEW they were good and it was rare, now everyone is epic in WOTLK by heroics alone, so hopefully Cata is more like TBC.

And you apparently played a different TBC than I did. I know plenty of people that never set foot in a TBC raid, but went into Wrath with almost full Epics from Heroic instances, Rep, badges, and PvP. PvP was especially popular, since it was relatively easy to get, and TBC PvP gear didn't budget nearly as much for resilience. It was actually decent for PvE.

You can probably buy the stuff with the new honor point system. I don't think that all of those items will get taken away instantly.

well its been about 1h30 now or so and only 11% probly it goes faster at a certain % i feel like a tuesday where i cant play for hours cause of maintenance.
