1) It's an incredibly beautiful and well designed city that actually feels bustling and lively (am thinking of the different shopping districts, the toy store, etc), and I love the music.

If your idea of "bustling and lively" is 200+ people standing still in place while phasing in and out of existence as LFD queues pop, then this is accurate. Although it does have a more "complete" feeling than other capital cities. How many empty houses are there in SW again?

2) I frigging HATE the idea of the Alliance and Horde at war and wanted to "reside" in a place where they still coexist reasonably peacefully and I can /wave at passing Alli. An anti-war demonstration of sorts, if you will. To be honest, they really REALLY should have made Theramore a neutral city (it makes sense with the lore, as Jaina respects and likes both Alliance and Horde and does not want them to fight at all).

Um, the entire point and lore of the world is based around war. Perhaps you are playing the wrong game. I hear Hello Kitty doesn't have a war theme....

Now with the portals gone, that's going to make my life a lot more difficult and inconvenient. -_-

I've trolled through all the posts and i was wondering if anyone knows how many JP's will be dropping in each heroic? as if 2200 for a chest is the price, and they only drop one per boss, it's going to be stupid running HC after HC to farm them..

Some vids from beta testers showed 75 Justice Points per heroic boss. Not sure if that counts for every boss or only the final one of an instance.

eh, shit happens, games get delayed. Anyone who's a gamer realizes this. Besides, between Dead Rising 2 and a new computer i'm building (which will pave the way for other games) i've got plenty to do.

Also to the people complaining about nothing but ICC and RS for a year...you know you guys can go play something else, cancel the sub for a month or two, save $15-$30 and come back later, pretty sure blizz won't hate you for it.

Quitting is exactly what I did, i was tired of getting nothing good all the while being jerked around with this cataclysm junk. I've saved $45 already (and won bets after blizzards incompetence to make worgen an actual mount). While I don 't think Dead Rising 2 will tide me over when cataclysm is most likely released mid 2011 (as it seems with all the beta QQ-ers with "its not ready yet" junk) it is nice to know that there are other usually higher quality things out there than Blizzards stale, crappy WoW.

Shouldn't you also be asking that gold be resetted as well?

I mean those that already have 100k+ gold right now will be able to buy a whole bunch of BoEs and craftable epics when they hit lvl85. Isn't that unfair to those that are new 80s and did not have time to farm that much?

If you spent any time looking at what is available, you will realize that having lots of gold is going to give you more and better gear at lvl85 compared to 1-2 blue items you can buy with the ludicrous amount of farming you can do now to get those 4000 JPs.

If you want to be ahead of other people, you need to farm gold now. Not emblems.


The only reason they give you JP ahead of Cataclysm is to give a stupid incentive to actually queue for 5man instances now, creating a false impression that there are things to do.

If Blizzard is really serious about removing portals from Shattrah and Dalaran then they should add "portal scroll - 'Specific race City'" to inscription profession.

At least something to make constant gold for taking inscription profession. Either way, any crafting profession should have consumable items, which would be benefical to trade to any player.

Blacksmiths should be able to sell those dam keys to anybody (to open locked doors, chest and different lockboxes). I do really wonder why are those BS keys required to have blacksmith profession anyway?

Thats not bypassing anything, that is choosing how to play - which is their right.

Puntar, those ideas are both AWESOME. I thought about the BS one a while ago - so not much new to me there.

However, the Inscription->Scrolls of Teleportation would be AWESOME. It would create a travel economy and create a sort of "minimum" fee for teleports (the cost of ink + parchment). The cost for the Portal reagent would need to increase to offset the alternative cost (mage portal) versus the cost of ink/parchment.

But it could work out well!

People earned there way to 100k - 200k etc it's not there problem if ppl are new, new ppl will after earn the gold aswell, thank you.

There is no reason to delay it, this is just marketing and wanting more money (as if they won't make hundreds of millions of dollars if they released in Novemeber anyway). Very frustrating for the people who were trying to plan around the holiday seasons.

I dont understand why all the gear for each type of armor and each slot has the same stats, like stam, how are say tanks suppose to have more hp than dps? All they will have to get higher are gems and enchants. All classes are going to have the same hp, where as before it always seemed to be cloth < leather < mail < plate.

What most of people are saying is that xpac going live week and half before christmas screws their holiday vacation planning, in other words, screw holidays with family, wow is more important... I just hope i'm getting it wrong.

As far as why the date was (potentialy) postponed...it may be factory issues (cd/dvds production and packaging), ERSB rating issues, language packs issues to name the few.

Wow calling people that pvp to get gear scrubs? Are you fcking serious. Those people have more skill than your lolpve keyboard turning self ever will. If you honestly think pve is more complicated, and unpredictable than pvp you are out of your mind.

same mobs
same skills
same movement
same resistances
same weaknesses
every single time. Once you learn an encounter there is nothing new.

pvp
each match has different opponents (usually)
each opponent has different skills.
random movement, los pillar humping, swing timers to step through your opponent, aoe, all changes every single match
each one might have the same gear or some mix, not including other things like enchants, specific gearing based off specs. Is it a mm arpen or a sv crit. Recognizing quickly what your opponents are and how to counter them is the only way to win. Example you start the arena your opponents pop up, you have a mage/hunter and oohhh look nothing for the last. Now is he a rogue or druid, and if he is druid is he stealth for tree etc. (ignore comp for that example)
Different weaknesses each match, and sometimes it changes within the same match.

Yet you call the people that deal with all of those differences scrubs, while you go do a pve boss and consider yourself "skilled". Yeah, I think I know who the "scrub" is, and it isn't the guy busting his ass in rated pvp to get gear just so he can be forced to go pve to get gear.

Guess what pvers do you think someone hardcore pvp enjoys being forced to pve to get gear? You complain "oh you are in pvp gear, you suck", well how the hell do you think YOU would feel if you were forced to pvp to get gear? You probably wouldn't like it.

Probably that tanks have some talents increasing their base health while casters (clothies) don't.

Maybe that this time, the dmg received will be modified heavly by armor, making cloth less absorbant and plate more.

I'm not sure you understood my post. I'm aware of the point cap, but if WotLK heroics are going to give justice points as a reward then you could simply go back and farm them at 85, buying items as you go to stay under the cap.

As I said, it's possible that WotLK heroics will stop giving points when the expansion launches, but I haven't read any plans for that happening.

In some blue post I saw "level appropriate" So maybe after you are 81/82 it stops

pretty sure its just the new talent trees and other stuff like guild lvling/achievement system, new stat system,etc. You wont get the revamped world with quests or new races until Cataclysm launches, though there will be a staged world event like the scourge invasion for WotLK.
