Cataclysm Login Screen ETA

I've been waiting since JULY to see the Login Screen. I expected to see it in August, but no. Then I was certain it was going to be in September, but no. Why is it taking so long? I guess it must be awesome for them be working on it for this long... WotLK login screen was released in August FYI

Maybe they're planning to show it off when they show the cata cinematic which would be likely at Blizzcon.

Hell yeh that roaring was anoying xD the volume seemed to jump high wen the roar happened

i love the BC one it was just a portal with dark and evil music i want something like that...not a stupid dragons that makes annoying sounds

Speaking of the Login screen looks, I would like to see a broken down Dark Portal, that's mostly destroyed and broken away and the portal its self flickering. That'd show how the world has been shattered.

It wouldn't make any sense, though. The Dark Portal itself is fine.

My money is on the Maelstrom swirling around minus the Thrall. If not I would like to see a still of Deathwing emerging and glowing around his glowey parts and pieces of earth dropping to the ground. Oh and epic music in the background.

The vanilla login screen is the one currently on beta i belive.

Yes you can. It was destroyed twice in the past, though a small rift remained that still connected Outland to Azeroth. Khadgar destroyed it permanently with the Skull of Guldan on Outland 20ish years ago (lore-wise). It was only recently re-opened in the Burning Crusade.
