    <3 for the Spirit Beast

So I finally hit 80 yesterday, and started doing heroics. I swap out from MM to BM to keep things a bit less boring while grinding those endless heroics. Yesterday I got hit with one of those pois0n sprays from HDTK, because the tank had this inviability to turn the aboms away from the group. As I sit there dpsing...waiting for a heal... realizing that the healer had in fact ninja AFKed...I watch my health trickle...lower and lower...I'm on the verge of death then Poof 3.2k heal...with a 1.2k hot a second... I love you my Spirit Beast...you saved my repair bill :P

Seriously though...when did we get this awesome heal? I remember him Moon firing not healing.

The heal came with the patch. I think they also give the Strength of Earth buff. Not sure if that depends on which spirit beast you have though. Tell me, since I havn't had the time nor have I been in the situation to find out yet, if you toggle spirit mend to be automatically cast by the pet, will the spirit beast cast on you when you have low health? Or did you just notice it on the bar at the last second or something? In any case, I absolutely love the new pet design. Glad the heal was of actual use to someone.

The heal Casts on who ever has lowest health, you or the pet...from what I can tell it goes by percentage. I think it also has a max percent you can be at before it will auto cast...A very useful ability IMO. Scare great with AP from what I can tell...WTB math

WHAT? ... OMG your pet heals you? its almost like this hasn't been posted on here 20 - 30 times since 4.0.1 and discussed extensively when on the PTR's. I'm just so glad someone finally brought this to our attention. Thank you so much.

lol just giving you a hard time but it is nice that they gave us a heal that can be used on ourselves even if it is pretty tiny.

And about the heal, for me it heals around 10k selfbuffed.. I am really looking forward to test this in ICC with full raidbuffs.
    LOL

    and

Is that just the initial heal or the full heal with the hot? If it is just the initial I will rephrase my statement to: It scales retardedly well with AP.

WOOT tyvm that is perhaps the most impressive tea pot and kettle i have seen in may years, i feel privileged that you chose to share this pic with me.

Also on a side note: i haven't played BM since the patch first hit but the heals you guys are talking about seem a lot higher then it had back them and sounds very exciting for pvp and leveling.

May Have alot of use in PvE, since it is auto cast. It will be very nice like when your raid feels like ignoring you on a bone spike, or the other hunter gets MCed and starts unloading shots into you. Worth having it around.

Mix, I hope you did get the significance of that lovely black kettle and teapot. I'm sure you did.

On topic, I believe the Spirit Beast will also heal group or raid members when they reach a certain threshold of health and the ability is off cooldown. I seem to remember mine HoTing up our feral druid during a H Princes fight a week or so ago.

The way I have seen the auto cast is it will cast on CD on itself or you...and some are saying other raid members(have not tested myself)with the lowest health by percentage. Now whether there is a min percent you have to be before it will cast I do not know, but suspect as much. I would love to see some math or at least some detail on this spell. I would do the math myself...but it would be rather horrid. Hats off to those who can do the math...mine kinda looks like 2+2=5?

My first impulse when i saw it was the obvious, however, when checking over the topic i realized that i had written a few sentences and expressed and opinion, even if my first part was a bit narcissistic and sarcastic, i even foloed up with an on topic opinion about my take on the ability in question and how it feels a little weak to actually be useful unless coupled with other healing effects.

the foloing response was 4 letters that symbolized nothing to do with the topic or the previous post. Therefore i can hardly assume that you were that unperceptive or unfamiliar enough with your own metaphor that you would have intended the picture you posted to convey the typical and obvious meaning that is associated with it. so rather than further a meaningless derailment of the topic i chose simply to thank you for your offering and let the topic continue on its normal progression, but since you apparently do wish for us to overlook your misguided wit i will acknowledge your clever posting of an off topic picture and in an irrelevant situation. Well Done!

[Insert picture of black pot and kettle here]

Anywho, I'm loving the heal, I don't think it's OP, and I don't think it's weak either, it's just perfect.

I believe he/she is joking since I have yet to find any word on any new spirit beasts.. Petopia has no mention of anything about one, so the odds are good that there hasn't been one added to the beta yet.

I am confident that they will add 1-2 new ones with launch though, and probably 1 more each major patch like they did with WotLK. A crab named Ghostcrawler would be a nice touch as a new spirit beast imo ^^ My bet is on a pet model whose family is normally Cunning this time around since everything so far has been ferocity/tenacity. I wouldn't mind a ghost T-rex however XD

To balance the DPS self heal issue with regards to hunters, spirit beasts should be accessible to every spec and shouldn't be so damn rare.
