Yeah, I have. There aren't any OVAs between S2 and S3, only a special that's a spin off.
Code Geass was good, but it's definitely not in a league of its own. I wouldn't even put it in my top 50.
Please. There are many better romcoms. Inu isn't even a good example of romcoms.
The movie was just as overrated at the series was.
I'll refrain from saying what I really feel about Monogatari because it would be extremely offensive to its fans, but comprehension of Monogatari's dialogue doesn't make it any less of an overrated show.
I think that was fairly obvious, long before S;G ever came out.

Something that's big in America, spread fast by word of mouth, you can find merch of it easily at conventions, t-shirts of it can be on sale online on English websites, and something that would appeal to a person very new to anime.
The biggest newcomer show out there is probably Full Metal Alchemist. (Not counting endless, which I don't)
nothing can be classified as a newcomer imo. a friend I sent into anime (that has a broad mind) skipped all the cliche starting on endless shounen and has already watched SG, madoka, haganai, and a few others I can't remember. (my previous belief was "starters" get into it on endles shounen then slowly expand)
millhi (= me) has best shit taste in anime
Shows like Cowboy Bebop, Code Geass, Death Note, Naruto, FMA: Brotherhood, etc. The shows that are largely the face of popular Western anime from the view point of someone completely new to the medium. There are exceptions of course, but most people starting out in anime aren't starting with the Haibane Renmeis or the Gankutsuous.
I can't help but giggle when I hear the same person who puts One Piece or OreImo in top 10 classify Code Geass as "Not even top50".
This is pretty old, too lazy to make a new one. I'd only make a few changes now though. Jojo or Monogatari would probably be somewhere. I dunno where. Meduka would include Rebellion, and Utena is the series - not the movie. Not sure why I used the movie picture.
I'd probably replace Jinrui and Azazel with those. Though, Azazel is probably my favorite comedy anime still.
