Finished Kashimashi the other day. At last I find something to somewhat satiate my fix for shoujo-ai. It was even a gender bender, too. It focused a little too much on the drama versus the actual shoujo-ai elements to completely give me my fix, but it was still pretty good and I definitely enjoyed it. The world needs more girls love anime.

I didn't really mind Kirito. Sure, he wasn't exactly the greatest character, but this mc in Accel, I just can't stand him. He's just one giant fault. I cannot think of one redeeming quality he has. Anything that might be deemed good about him, he does in such an annoying and pathetic fashion that I just find it incredibly irritating. I find this show getting less and less enjoyable as it goes on. Not just because of the mc, he's always been pathetic. I really enjoyed the first 8-12 episodes or so, but it seems to be going downhill a bit as it progresses.

Saw a post on reddit and thought it was an interesting question.

What anime do you find most visually stunning? Not just a unique art style that you like, but a show that you would consider to be eye candy essentially (Think Avatar or Life of Pi for example).

I'm forgetting a few, but here are some that particularly stuck out to me as good looking anime.

    Tasogare Otome x Amnesia
    - Probably my favorite art style of any show I've seen. This show was super vibrant and color and just an all around awesome looking anime.

    Howl's Moving Castle
    - I don't think I've seen any show that has come anywhere close to having as much detail in every scene as this show does. I found myself just looking at the backgrounds being amazed at how much was crammed in there. That aside, it was a beautiful looking movie and it has aged extremely well. Hell, it looks a lot better than a lot of the stuff that comes out today.

    Redline
    - Pretty much obligatory to list this show. It's the Avatar of anime essentially lol.

    5 Centimeters per Second
    - 5 Wallpapers per Second lol

    Bakemonogatari

    Death Billiards
    - Quite a visually stunning anime

    Fate/Zero

    Hanasaku Iroha

    Summer Wars

Fate/Zero and I also enjoyed the quality of Sword Art Online.

Now go watch the Evangelion movies. The third out of four total coincidentally came out on BD yesterday. ;P

    As for beautiful anime...
Mononoke - both stunning and unique, absolutely one of its kind.
Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls - full of all kinds of eye candy and beautiful animation(though second season seems to look worse - might just be my impression though.).
Seirei no Moribito - breathtaking combat, beautiful scenarios and characters.
-monogatari - no need to say much, I guess.

I used to do that, and then my computer hated me cause they were all 5MB+ images.

I really liked Usagi (Bunny) Drop, K was pretty good aswell. Others would have to be Summer wars and any Studio Ghibli movie.

I'm not a fan of figures, but I prefer the first one. Ditch the second one!

Nothing wrong with that, it's just not a thing for me

21 hours until new Hataraku Maou-sama

    neeeeeed..

BTW. what does everyone else think of Karneval? I was excited about watching the show, but the MC is just so terrible that I can't watch it anymore.. he seems so stupid and lame. (guy with white-ish hair)

Well, finished Tamako Market. Cute little show. Now I really want to try some Mochi. The ED is pretty catchy, too.

Reading the reviews, I'm kinda surprised people are so harsh. I went in expecting a cute, plotless show, and I got what I expected. Seems like most people were disappointed KyoAni didn't put out a masterpiece...

Downloaded it last night and it is surprisingly not bad considering it was pretty much slated until the DVD release, nothing great(yet) but quite watchable

Those two are quite different in style though? Inukami! is full of nonsensical humour, just like Seto no Hanayome while Final Approach is similar in theme(forced marriage), though very short.
