Post your favorite memory of a dungeon/raid.

For me...it was my first run of BRD.
None of us knew our way around, none of us had the key.
So getting the key was the first thing we did...after that came hours of wiping, party members leaving, and one of the remaining people going to town to spam trade.
About 6 hours (and probably 25 party members) later, we finished.
Was fairly epic, and ever since ten I've loved that instance.

There were some pretty funny moments too...like when a mage that caused at least 3 wipes on his own fell for the whole "If you press alt+F4 you get 100 gold" trick, trying to swim through the lava to skip a boss...

My first raid was Naxx 10-man in the earlier days of WotLK, soon after hitting 80 on my main. My guild was somewhere between progression and farm status, so my lower DPS was made up for by a few who had higher numbers. Anyway, I just really enjoyed learning the fights and learning to coordinate my efforts with 9 other people. (I had done a few 5-mans and heroics prior, but not many.)

My other most memorable time was actually last night. My wife's Pally (a nearly-fresh 80) was tanking Prince Sa-whatever? after the elemental invasion in SW. Our healer was a bit laggy and so she bit it. I managed to Evasion-tank the Prince long enough for a battle-rez to put her back into action. We proceeded to finish off the Prince and claim our phat loot.

Mine is definetely from the first week of ICC. Had a really solid 10 man group going since Ulduar (with a few replacements of course) and I wanted to really tackle the ICC stuff pretty hardcore vs just going through it in twenty minutes and one shotting the boss. Anyways, got a world ninth achievment on Full House after a couple hours of wiping and though it really ins't much I still feel good about it as its one of the harder meta achievements and we did it with three people in the group that hadn't even done the fight before (on 25 man). Considering our guild was often between 1,500 and 2,000 world rank it felt kinda good to pull a top ten out of nowhere, even if it is kind of insignificant.

I favorite memory of a dungeon was that of Wailing Caverns back when in TBC when i started playing WoW.
Favorite raid memory is definitely Karazhan the dungeon was lots of fun and doing the runs with the guild i was in back the made it even better. I still remember all the laughs we had.

Back in the TBC days when my guild after so many tries killed lady vashj, at the end of phase 3 the amount of poison on the ground made my fps drop so low that the only thing i could do was to spam moonfire and stand still. the endorphin rush when she died... omfg... and i got the T5 head
think that day will be the best day of my life ever, no way becoming a father will top that... 2 weeks later when we killed KT was epic as well, but even though the mount dropped it wasnt as great as Vasjh <3

Mine was bringing Magmadar from 40% to 0% with 12 people alive. The two priest healers, myself included, spent several desperate minutes keeping the last 12 people from a near-wipe up long enough to down the boss. Was terrifying and awesome when he actually died.

Probably first time I killed nefarian, was MTing it, went off to tank the mass skeletons that ressed, OT died and the boss ran over to me, flipped it just in time so know one got breathed on and then it was a nice struggle solo tanking it (as horde, no anti fear priests!) until we killed it.

Got rewarded Edge of Chaos for it and I was a trial at the time.

(I was noob yes) So they summoned me infront of that guy... And couldnt even see his face I had the heart attack of my life. But i loved that feeling. AQ20 friday night fun raid wasn't actually in the raid myself but was in TS while my guildies where in there. Raid leader was drunk and declared that if people werent drunk in 20 minutes he would kick them out the guild. More than half the raid then got smashed and he was ordering about players who had left hours beforehand.

The mage class officer then decided to sign don't leave me this way while very drunk and the rogue class officer recorded it and made a dance mix of him singing it. Was funny as hell.

Mine would have to be killing the Lich King for the first time. We had been wiping all night at around 35%. It was our last attempt of the night. Everyone was fed up, Tired, Wanting to call it. Our Gm said "one last try" so we did.

From the beginning it seemed like a wipe when our resto druid decided to stand infront of me and wave at the Lich king, and got one shot. Thankfully we also had a boomkin in our raiding team. Other things went wrong. But no. It happened. I was over my mates at the time, and the sound coming from my laptop from vent was so loud it was louder than the TV downstairs and it woke his sister. My laptop was on 1/2 volume... o_O

Edit : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkGjlef0cbQ Around.. 30 seconds in. Watch the resto druid get stabbed. :P
Thanks Batpanic for the amazing Sig!

    1st Vashj/Kael'thas kill.

Those two were the real guild breakers, many guilds failed and broke up/merged with another guild/guilds because it was a huge stepping stone back in TBC. When we killed them and got attuned for Mount Hyjal and eventually BT (Rage 1-shot ftw) I just knew that Illidan will fall, there was no way we couldn't kill Illidan after those two, it was just matter of time. Also, Ashes Of Al'ar dropped on 1st kill - nerd screams on vent.

    Algalon kill.

But my favorite above all else, was getting my Kingslayer and Fall of the Lich King on 25 man LAST WEEK. I never got it until then, because I always missed the Lich King kills. Felt really good to do it before Cataclysm.

Plus, I got his awesome staff.

First Raggy Kill back in Vanilla. I was in a decent guild(First or second best on the server). Last 2 or 3% everyone was dead/dying and it ended up on 1% with 2 priest healers left, they spam-smited Raggy and.. well.. you should of heard Team Speak <3
