All power editions were pulled back because they broke nVidia's specc and had something like 2-3x as much vCore as they were allowed on the GPUs, thus severely shortening its life expectancy.
nVidia wasn't happy about that, so MSI had to recall them.

Reference should do me more than fine for my plans.
(Besides, I got it for free so I couldn't very much complain, could I?)

Yep, money isn't an issue when you work in the oil sands xD

It looks amazing! I might pick up 2 more and slap em all in portrait next year and do nvidia surround / eyefinity.

If you held your mouse over the dotted line in the quote, that would have explained itself

What's the point of having great graphics if you have a monitor that makes it look muddy? I personally think you should spend more on monitor than any individual part of your machine costs. Premium products last. Not that they won't break, but he can use that for years.

ASUS PA and PB-series are really neat, and one of my favourites.

If only that 27" was 120hz and it would be a good screen, I'll stick around with my BenQ 23,6" LED XL2420T as it's the best for gaming atm.

It all depends on what you want and play.... Im (finally) getting my dell ultrasharp 2713HM this week. And i cant wait for it....

I prefer a larger resolution over 120 Hz Altho a 1440p screen with 120 Hz...... Imagine the power required to run that on full details etc xD

Meh, two 660's in SLI would run that. Or a single 690.

Probably, but you'd most likely have to turn down graphics still in some games.

Granted its 1600p, but going down to 1440p will not be that much easier.

I have no issues in any games with 2 680 lightnings, but i could see potential issues with the 660sli in some games. 1gb vram sli big display + bf3 or skyrim with mods.
