I wish the PC version of Bioshock infinite had a "save wherever you'd like" save system instead of a checkpoint based system.

Granted. You can save wherever you want and the game will take you back to that exact location. However, checkpoints don't exist anymore and your game always starts from where you last saved [if you die or reset it or whatever]. You, nzall, save right before a boss fight where the fight starts but you aren't prepared at all so you die, and always restart the game from that point. (Unless you make a new game.)
