That depends on what is important to you. And what is important to you is not necessarily important to others.
I used to work a well paid job that I didn't particularly love or hate. And then someone very dear to me became very ill, and I realized that I didn't give a shit about "things" any more. Now I have an incredibly rich life doing what I love, and I'm happier than I have ever been despite no longer earning what I once did.
I only wish I'd learned this lesson without the help of tragedy.

I fix computers part time. Going to school full-time for Computer Networking. Currently working at Arby's, it's fast food, but it pays so that I can go out...also not a stereotypical high-school drop out that you see at most fast food places.
full time college student, part time applications developer(computer programming) and I tutor computer programming at my University. I also write, but just for fun. I've never tried to get a novel published.
