Most fail tank I've ever seen.

So my friend hit 85 tonight and wanted to do a dungeon. Well he is dps and didn't want to wait in the 30+ minute queue so I hopped on my healer for it to be faster. Now my priest is about 3/4 of the way done with heroics so we were more or less guaranteed an easy run through this regular Halls of Origination. I could never have been more wrong.
We get in and the tank is a Blood death knight. No problems there, personally I prefer Death knight tanks in HoO because of all the spell damage done and that DKs seem to have better mitigation towards spell damage. No, the first issue I noticed was that he was a level 85 tank with less than 100k health unbuffed while in blood presence. He only had 97k. So I turned my camera to look at him and I could not believe what I saw. He was wearing the 10-man tier 9 helm AND shoulders. So, I inspected him. I saw that he was also wearing four ICC epics AND being a blood DK he was dual wielding. So this tank was wearing SIX Wrath epics at level 85 and was attempting to tank while dual wielding when blood a DK tanks with two-handers. So, I told my friend:
"I'm gonna see how fail this pull is and if it's gonna be as bad as I think it is... we're gonna end up leaving."
Sure enough we had two CCs. He laid down death and decay and immediately broke them both. He died before I could even activate chakra. I was spamming flash heal to no avail. He then said that he panicked and wont break CC this time. So we came back, got our health back up, CCed, same thing. He was dying way too fast. Its sad when a level 85 tank BUFFED has less health then the healer. I attempted to vote kick him for having terrible gear when I realized that the other two dps were his guildies. They then were blaming me saying I was a fail healer and I needed to learn how to heal correctly despite the fact that I've healed this EXACT instance on heroic without too many issues. Needless to say me and my friend left. It was getting late and we both decided to just try for it tomorrow.
It still just boggles my brain of how incredibly ignorant people can be sometimes.

dual wielding blood tanks are nothing new. They've been around for months. I think there's something about "tank sword" that screams "DUAL WIELD ME PLZ!" and all the bads think that's what they're supposed to do.

Well druid tanks are good for spell damage because they can get 10% off spell damage.I have been in a fail group as a tank.I was in dead mines were we were at the bosses with the elementals thing which grow bigger fi you do not kill them and wipe you and no one killed them and they blamed it on me.I also was doing more dps then the shammy dps and I got kicked.I also was the only one originally person that started from that run.

Yeah I've seen tanks like this already. Usually it's tanks that break CC's and get pissed. I'm getting sick of tanks AOE tanking and they don't wait for me to cast my hex, so the hex goes off in their AOE and it breaks... then they yell at me.

Also I had a tank yell at me for "not interrupting enough". I then link my recount and point out that I interrupted max in a min that I could... meaning every CD. When I point out that the other two DPS could... arms warrior and DK... I get vote kicked. Didn't realize they were all in the same guild.

The best is when I had a healer yell at me to stop dropping healing rains on my maelstrom procs... cause it was messing with his healing. WTF?

It is unfortunate that many people are unwilling to give up their tier 10. I traded mine in for the first greens I could find. (Mind you I was in full 264) I figured almost anything in the new zones would be better.

Also, considering that the blues from dungeons are over i-level 300, it should be a no-brainer.

there is just some ignorant people out there that can't see the difference between their old AWESOME PEW PEW gear back in ICC and the new shitty color greenies in cata!
yes Green Cata gear > Epic ICC gear by so much!

people have to learn to start selling/banking their old gear and start fresh!

Maybe you should learn to heal. Chakra is easy to get, toss a shield on him, and if all goes to hell, guardian spirit and flash heal/holy word:Serenity him (Assuming you use heal chakra). Not that hard. I've healed tanks with less than 95k in heroics.

I hope you're kidding. Either that or you're trolling. It is impossible for a tank to even get into heroics with gear that will put him less than 95k health. And no, I cannot activate chakra. It will only activate off of heal which is roughly a 2.5 second cast and when the tank is dying it five to eight hits, there is not enough time to cast heal to activate it.
So again, I hope you're kidding, because if not, you're trolling.

I've done PUGs where as soon as I enter, it's 2-3 people from the same guild, but they aren't geared well-enough for the instance. They'll ALWAYS blame you, and it's not your fault; just requeue and try again, not your problem. :P

I got randomed once with a Prot warrior that had less health than the mage in the group.....mostly because he was using a 2 hander and half of his gear was cloth.

I've seen similar situations where the tank, usually a DK, is running around with the majority of their equipped gear coming from ICC. Every single one of them got on a soapbox to rant about how everyone they've met in the LFD runs are utter fail. One of them actually stood in one of the beams on the Blackrock Caverns boss, evolved, laid waste to the group and complained about how we were pulling aggro off of him. It hurt my head sometimes.

How? They wouldn't have the ilvl to get into heroics? Unless they're carrying around a full set of gear in their bag which is better than what they're wearing.. in which case they'd probably be wearing it. You're coming across as pseudo-elitist, which in turn doesn't lend my creedence to anything you've said. Reminds me of all the kids posting on the forums about how easy ICC was who've never downed Marrowgar. The issue here was clearly the tank, not the healer. A tank in ICC gear will die in a snap in virtually any Cata heroic.
