Some are trying to which really ruins it for us
I agree with this.
Why would you trade?
So you get more honor?
They are getting more honor too, which in turn levels your power level via gear.
Gear is the only reason to do this.
So now you get full honor gear and they do.
Why not crush them into the ground so it takes longer for them to gear and you hold the advantage of better gear over them?
That's like a fighter saying "Ok, punch me in the face! Good, my turn!"
A smart fighter would hit his opponent, then hit him again and again into submission, not allow him to catch up.
My server isn't obviously win trading, but when defending we just say "let them win." I mean basically that's win trading, but I see win trading as more of an organized thing. It's advantageous to let the other team win so in two hours you can win it and get 1800 honor. The alternative is spending the 30 minutes or whatever it takes to defend it and get 180 honor over the next 2 hours... and have the ability to do your dailies - which take all of 20-30 minutes - before your next go. The incentive is so low to hold Tol Barad that just letting it go is the easiest way to do it. Plus with the 12 dailies and the mountain of rep, I'm almost exalted without even doing them everyday. I figure others are too. I might stick around a bit to get mount and maybe one of those trinkets but it after that I'll probably only queue for the battle if we're attacking to get the honor... though I don't really need that either.
EU - Twisting Nether is not trading. xD
Alliance defending it proudly.
This hotfix really proves beyond a doubt the Infinite Monkey Theorem. A group of monkeys with software dev kits and enough time, eventually will come up with an mmorpg...

"World of Warcraft is actually a very politically themed game, it's an indictment of European colonialism and American imperialism where you run around different lands killing people and looting all their shit"
Blizz makes some pretty awful decisions sometimes. The zone should just be taken down until they figure out how to fix it.
EverQuest, City of Heroes, Star Wars Galaxies, EverQuest II, World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, Star Wars TOR, Guild Wars 2, Rift.
Skullcrusher US - win trading.
blizzard needs to hire some better brains
And the trading works great for those that can play a lot, but if your window if 2 hours, it could be a serious kick to the stones.
The reason behind this hotfix was so Blizz could shut us up so they could enjoy the holidays. I've heard numorous rumors about a real fix hitting soon after New Years. This is a temp solution.
OT: i wouldnt call my server "win tradeing" per say. More like, the alliance let us take it, then take it back, rinse and repeat :P
#1 Resto Tree Slap DPS
Yes my realm is doing the same.
But seriously how couldnt they have seen this coming?
And because people completely miss the point of the excercise in favour of virtual assets, the bonus honour will be nerfed into oblivion.
Play the game as it was intended? Lol, fuck that, let's fix the results together and remove all elements of competition so we can get more stuff for less effort!
"The truth, my goal."
Terenas EU - Nope not win trading. Horde must love TB and will never give it up.
I thought we all were playing World of Warcraft, a balanced Blizzard game... and not CCP's EVE Online fest of piracy horrors?
But seriously... Tol Barad is just 'ONE' battleground in the great war against the Alliance... I think the best option for those who 'agree to the trading', would be to max out all their best PvP players, and use them to roflstomp every battle ground they can A.S.A.P after they get their gear...
What? Alliance don't want to be beat in battlegrounds anymore? Too bad, shouldn't have settled for the 'agreement' then...
I actually get to do the other set of dailies now. Don't care about PvP, I just want those mounts.
Until they find a way to make Tol Barad proper competition, I'm hoping this system stays. At least Wintergrasp was enjoyable.
